This thread is about the tragedy in Norway, not about capital punishment.

Do you guys think he was working alone? To be honest this reminds me of a movie I saw a while back. I wonder if he got his ideas from it

The wheels of survival are greased more readily by easy lies than hard truths.

Im pretty sure that he was working alone, and Canadian media at least, is shocked at what happened. This is not because of the tragedy but because apparently he is an avid nationalist with no known ties to Islam. Stereotype much?

Gunman Anders Behring Breivik admits responsibility for the Oslo bomb and the Utoya Island shootings.

He calls the attack 'atrocious, but necessary' as a warning that 'doomsday is imminent' and says he intends to explain his rationale to the media.

    Breivik says he acted alone

Here is a portion of Breivik's manifesto.

Want to read a WoW forum where Anders Behring Breivik frequently posted?

    Funniest comment:
He killed 80 people and still didn't find the drops he needed.

No... not very funny. That is alot like the Wow community to do something like that AND laugh about it.
SickbyDefinition you said something about ideas this guy may have gotten. Has an avid member of the State of Oklahoma in the United States we had a terrorist by the name of Timothy MicVay commit a atrcocious bombing on an Oklahoma Federal building. He killed 168 people. Nineteen of these were children under the age of 6. He committed this act by taking a fertilizer filled truck and lit it underneath the building. He was seen running from the Truck right before the bombing happened. The number 9:01 will always stick with me forever for at 9:01 everything was normal at 9:02 Chaos. McVeigh had accomplices, one that also lit another truck of fertilizer that blew the building to hell. McVeigh was a American born Christian that commited these acts hoping that this act would cause a government collapse.

The Norway man that commited this Atrocious act runs along the same lins as McVeigh. Christian, born in the country he commited the act upon and very anti-current government. The reason I think that he says he commited the act by himself is to let his accomplices continue his work. The attack upon the Ministers office was a clear assassination attempt. He probably meant to lop the head of the Norway government straight off and cause a country collapse. The attack upon the Kid camp was also an attempt to help decrease the morale when he had killed the Prime Minister. Both of these were most likely severely planned to the last detail.
Personally there is alot to learn in these two acts. Many similarities characteristically in these two : McVeigh and the Norway man.

Sorry about calling him the Norway Man, cant remember his name.
Please don't send me hateful PM's you make me cry........ from laughing so hard.

I don't think that comparison is very conclusive. Being anti-government of your own country and acting out against it is basically the definition of a rebel, which is a very board term encompassing many more people than just McVeigh.

And I don't think religion had anything more to do with it than if the two shared a similar hair or eye color. Admittedly I myself tend to be a skeptic of religion or religious people at times, but I think the trait that makes people do things likes this comes down more to human psyche than religious tenets, because you'll find good and bad eggs in any religion. That doesn't make a given religion bad, especially not the most popular religion in the world which is consequently going to numerically draw in the most whackos.

    It's all Rodri's fault.
