I liked some of her music. It's just tragic how her life has ended like this. I hope she finds peace at last.

I think the song is clearly about drugs and alcohol, not skin color.

When she sings "black" she is talking about escaping from her reality by using enough intoxicants to black out.

Also, check out this awesome performance she gave last month singing her single "Back to Black".

Strictly age-wise....yeah at 27 you are expected to know what your body can handle.

But mentally she was a rebellious young teenager. She was an adult child without any sense of restraint or self-control.
