I know the range and speed of my loads when i attack, and most of the time they have no defence and are welcoming it with open eyes or mouth

I use it to perform range calculations and battle projections...Not to figure out how many troops I can send.

Oh you only meant use a calc to figure out rally point maxes?

I use round numbers to do that, instead of sending saying 9327 warriors and 1411 swords and 972 Pikes I would send 9300 wars, 1400 swords and 1000 pikes

Then I can quickly add 9.3 + 1.4 + 1 = 11.7 in my head. If at the end of the day adding up all the numbers I am short in troops of 90k then I just add the balance to whatever troop type has spare guys.

Thus far in this game though I either have way too few troops to cap out my rally (early game) or waaay too many to worry (end game).
