As long as there is a free alternative, a bot being sold will make little money. If people had the choice between almost never being caught and using a free bot, and using a bot that cost $10/mo, I guarantee most people would opt for the free alternative.
Making it to where people can bot even more will cause even more problems. As one person playing on ss57 keeps repeating, this is the first time for them in months that they have been able to get decent resources from NPCs. If botting was implemented across the board, then there would be more grumblings about NPCs not having resources, more alt account creation to acquire more resources due to the lack of them in NPCs, more NPC purging due to more people making alt accounts that can't be removed, and so on and so forth...
People spending money may be "unfair" from the perspective of one that cannot afford to spend, like myself, but you don't see me out here trying to leverage that against the company. In fact, you will see me standing up for people's rights to spend money. The only thing I dislike about it, aside from not being able to spend, is when people try to claim they made "Stupendous Achievement X" without spending money, when it is clear that they did spend money, even if only the $30 package. If you can tell me you're ok with the real spenders leaving the game, and that your aim is to protect it's integrity, then do so. If that is the case, the option to purchase chests then is also an integrity issue... not everyone can do so, and that is an unfair advantage. After all, Evony is a free browser game, and will always be free..... right?
Bottom line: Spending money isn't listed as against the rules. Using bots is listed as against the rules, thus your argument about what is "unfair" is immaterial.
