Anyway throughout the year, they have managed to use diplomacy in a very strategic way to eliminate any threats one by one with the help of their (and forgive me for saying, even though its no longer) coalition And they've risen to the top recruiting many great fighters along the way and really the only way i can see them falling is either from internal problems, or their allies turning on them haha (Or a b0t sweep HAHA kidding.)
Just saw this lol. We were 7th in terms of prestige I believe, maybe 8th but the two strongest teams on S5 were ourselves and Asmo. We always had a good and numerous group of fighters - few teams can field the number of warcities we can. And one of the rules for being in the team is that you contribute to the alliance in some way.

However, the reason I attribute to our success has been that other teams were reluctant to break the old server ways in member acceptance, we didn't. We were the first true SS38 team. So as players retired, we'd end up replacing them with new members - keeping our fighting strength high. The failings I see in other teams is the high number of alts within the main alliance - a less active team is a less happy one. With the large number of mains in the alliance; I'd guess it's around 85%, the workload for each individual is lessened.
