    an option that i like to use is finding a group of TRUSTED friends to go spy hunting. It works best if you are all on at different times. unfortunate as it may sound the spy might well have been in your alliance a while and chose this time that you started recruiting again to cause some chaos. (sometimes it is better to wait to destroy an alliance from the inside than rush into it.) Monitor who's online record who's getting hit and if they are giving out their coords to anyone and if so to who. a good spy will take care to make sure they get hit a little and reinforce etc to gain loyalty, and make it seem like they're in the same boat with everyone else, so if you know someone has a ton of troops and are only being hit by pansy waves, are regularly asking for resources, constantly reinforcing even before a target comes under attack (drain food, most will wait till attacks start to avoid suspicion) then you likely have your spy

    a good spy will be very active in chat and seem very helpful to the alliance.

    Lurkers are usually prime suspects, but they cant be your only suspects especially if dealing with a good spy
