Default OK we know its unfair - but can we be constistant

See what you all think - before this gets locked and deleted

2 players both in my alliance

One hasnt givent his password out to anyone ever, is the straightest player I have seen
His account is hacked and loads of his troops dismissed - thankfully he got back on and stopped any more damage

Evony wont do a thing about it, wont roll back his troops, wont check the ip of the people who STOLE from him and at least ban them

    2nd player
3 members of his family play the game - he used his card to buy stuff for his familys accounts - and is such a nice guy he also paid stuff for some people in his last alliance too
A package went tru that shouldnt have on his sons account so he was trying to claim it back

He was informed that his sons account, his account and his wifes account would be banned
    AND
    everyone he got packages for
    AND
any IP address who logged onto him when he was on holiday (totaly within evony rules)

so they can track IP addresses to punish the innocent who were helping a teammate
    But not a theif

Can evony at least have some consistancy in its unfairness??

and lets face it for the price of a package you have lost a whole lot more cash
So everyone beware, following the rules and babysitting a teammate who is on holiday can backfire on you

I think the point was they can ban all the ip addresses when they want to
but will do nothing to help the 1st guy

I can deal with the rules sucking - but they should consistantly suck

What you said about IP addresses doesn't make sense, mind explaining?

Two scenerios let's see what I can make of them.

#1. Well if he's as straight as you say he is then in theory he shouldn't have anything to worry about right? Well it's not as simple as all that.

    • If he shared his details with someone to look after his account whilst away. Done all the right things, told Evony who was account sitting his account and how long it was for. However, never changed his password but in the meantime fell out with that person then either that person or someone else could access that account and sabotage it.
    • The other possibility is poor account security. People can ask cold questions and find out enough about you to break the security questions. Believe me it happens.

True hacking is incredibly rare. Most are a result of sharing details or the reason outlined above.

I think this has been covered. However, it's a warning to anyone although being kind to share gifts out to his friends still broke ToS by accessing their accounts. Always transfer funds through PayPal.

Any chargeback or payment failure usually results in Evony investigating yours and anyone's accounts that have shared that IP address. As in this case a load of accounts end up being suspended or closed.

Thanks to Infinitus for the epic B'day pressie!

Was probably just a Autocents subscription he never knew about.

I have to lock this thread. This is not the appropriate place for this type of discussion, as there is no way for anyone on the forums to either verify the authenticity of the claims or to offer any assistance.

Help Spot should used be used for these circumstances. The link is in my signature.
