Slade has shown he can play a variety of positions, however I think that weepu will take over his position. As weepu can actually kick, has a lot more experience, and is less likely to bail under pressure.

Also AB's are bringing in Aaron Cruden, I think personally they wont play him unless someone gets really injured as he can only play 1 position. The same position slade and weepu are fighting for.

A lot rests on Slades shoulders and I think that he will be up for the challenge, maybe a few blunders along the way but as long as he does his best we will have a fighting shot

~oh and btw Richie, LOVE THAT VIDEO:P hehe anything to with quade cooper getting smashed is good

As for our fly-half, I think we should stick with O' Gara. His goal-kicking has just been far superior to Sexton's and his passing is better and faster too.
Slades still too young and inexperienced. What's worst is that he's got big shoes to fill and I think that this pressure will either make rubble out of the guy, or make him a diamond in the rough :P

Personally I want to see mills in the 10. I just think that his experience and his reliability to read the flow of a game would make him a reliable choice for the position (I'm pretty sure he played 10 in his younger days also before he was an all black).
For me weepu is a 9 (I would name the positions, but they vary between countries :P) and is too unpredictable to have at 10, and slade could muck up in his lack of experience. But that's just my opinion, and Im a mills fan

I'm sure Slade knows that everyone is like "YOU BETTER NOT SCREW UP BOY!!!" so I reckon he'll work extra hard to prove himself.

Mills at 10? well heck at least he'd get his 100th cap
But weepu at 9? I know its his prefered position but still with the likes of youngster Andy Ellis in the team and Jimmy Cowan the number 9 spot has been secured.

I think the Argentinia game is going to be a clear indercator on how NZ will perform in the later stages.

Yeah I'm pretty sure mills has played up there (but I also think that's before the all blacks, can't remember) before. I just think it's something the coaching staff should consider, if mills wants to continue playing at an international level.

Weepu is a impact 9, for me. When the flow becomes predictable to the opponents he can mix it up. But that's just me.

I see where your coming from.
Just announced that Dagg, Kahui, Gulford and obviously Carter are unable to play. Putting Mills in number 15 and SBW on the wing (Cory Jane on the other), also starting Richie McCaw.

I think that they should rest McCaw, he's a brilliant captain and we'll need him certainly against the winners of Australia vs South Africa.

    What do you think?

I think he overdid it on his 100th cap, lol. On that game he made the most tackles made the most individual runs (or got ball in hand the most, in other terms), and was at the most breakdowns, and this is near his tenth year of international rugby and he was still playing as one of the best players on the field. Obviously playing at that pace tired him out.

Personally, I say play him. it could be a huge mistake with the growing concerns of his injuries. But truthfully I don't think he will last much longer on the international stage so I feel like we should put him on the field when we can. Like I said before, it could be a huge mistake, but to me, seeing a legend play is better then not seeing a legend play :P.

I couldn't have been more wrong about the first two QF's.

This was our best chance to get to a WC Final and we blew it. To be fair though, the Welsh defense was very good. Our little mistakes really cost us.
