    Explaination: For a sound to be made. Sound WAVES (not the sound just the moving particles themselves) need to hit something to turn them into audible sound. Example an eardrum. Without an eardrum or something to pick up the sound, all that is created is moving particles.
    Vaccuum's do not occur naturally on earth, therefore there is always some form of living flora/fauna to interpret the falling of a tree as a sound

    The absence of a human does not detract from the fact that there is a sound perceived by another living organism

    Therefore, the answer is "yes"

    Luda... next number is 1Jillion, being the first number with a "J" in it. The other numbers represent the first number using the next sequential letter from the alphabet

    Almost...

    Thousand = A

    Billion = B

    Octillion = C

    Hundred = D

    One = E

    Four = F

    Eight =G

    H would be next. so for example 3/Three
    there also was another solution.. don't quite remember what it was, will google later.

    Luda, my bad, sorry.... I'd actually seen the riddle before, but had been given 3 and then 5 as numbers in the list.

    Can I claim "it's been a long week" as an excuse?
