Skir for once I agree with you! The forums are well crap nowadays....

Luckily for me I caught the last of the so called golden age... So yes you can say my OTD gen. killed it... which is probably true.... But one thing you state there is wrong... The server forum's are a place filled with more hate then GD and more self importance then OTD... there grudges for the smallest in game matters are carried for years. Grudges like so and so took my city then ported away.... what a crap player... this is then brought to the server forums where they try to publicly denounce and trounce one another over such a small issue....it was sad....

Then I found OTD and posted a bit... when I say a bit I mean around 4-5 posts per day.... now many say all are spam... I try to avoid that when something interests me and try to spout off facts around this... when I first came here I butchered the English language even more then I do now... Since then I have gone through and tried to edit those posts to be not so much of a butchering... But OTD helped me do that... I was scorned for writing in txt speak so I changed it that's one way the forums helped me a lot....

But there is one downfall of these forums that kills it... We can't talk about religion and politics.... simply because if I stated that I was a nationalist and a Catholic some God forsaken idiot would post that I was a facist and a kiddy fiddler or butt buddy to a priest *insert other stereotypes here* when in fact we aren't the forums catering to all ages is what killed it and to avoid the stupidity and the short sightedness of some they had to make it so that you couldn't provoke them... Which is sad but it is the way it is and the way it shall remain unless these new mods.... Congrats by the way Revo and Reasoner... can change it which is unlikely....
