I have to agree on a lot of what Skirata has said.

When I was first here, there were quite a number of actual discussion threads on this part of the Forum, and I have very much enjoyed my time reading and posting in those threads...

However, this part of the community has declined, and as Skirata has put it, a lot of people (myself sometimes included) have acted with very stuck-up attitudes and have not really made a lot of contributions to the community has a whole.

As Lazzy has said, all it takes to contribute to the community is to make good, thoughtful posts, and even humor is appreciated on here...But sadly, that is not the case lately.

Nine out of every ten threads in the OT these days are games or related threads. Rep is still horribly farmed, and I can't say that I haven't attempted to do so myself...Because I have. I don't remember putting "rep me!" in my sig or something, but still, I like many others have done it.

Originally, this forum was and is here for our benefit. However, it only takes a few to bring ruin to an entire community, as many of us have come to realize...

You all know why I don't post here often? It's becuase of the lack of interesting threads that don't involve games to post in. The vast majority of the threads here in the OT revolve around games and post-count boosting threads...I won't name any, but we all know them for what they are.

This community still has quite a lot of good people in it, from most walks of life...All of us have a good head on our shoulders, and a capacity to simply chip in to make this place a bit better.

I'll leave this thread with only one more remark: It's not the mods or the admins that make a forum what it is, it's the people. Remember that.
