Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1 1/4 Cup Softened Margarine
- 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 3 Cups Oats
- 2 Cups Chocolate Chips
- 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts (or Pecans)

Heat oven to 375. Cream margarine and sugars till fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift flour with baking soda, salt and spices, add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Bake 8-9 minutes for chewy cookie, 10-11 for crisper cookies.
