    OK, I understand why the Dev's play around with stuff like the battle mechanics, and trying to make the game more fair (I'm really streatching to use fair). That's the fun stuff to play around with. But really, what the game needs far more is just stability.

    Get rid of the lag!
    Get rid of the servers crashing
    Make the browser client stable so it does not crash.

    Please address these issues first. As far as I can tell, your patches have not addressed stability issues at all. These issues cause the user experiance to just plain suck. People expectations are that that a games user experiance be enjoyable, not frustrating. If you do not meet a players expectations then you will lose that player, probably forever. A widespread lack of meeting user expectations will drasticly limit the value of your investment in the game.

    So please, preaty please, with sugar and a cherry on top -- give these issues priority.

    I understand the frustration. It's a lottery on every battle, if your army will make it there and back with plunder. Will the server crash and your 3 minutes away army is all of a sudden 2 hrs 56 minutes away.

    Anything done to fix the servers in a browser based game won't be seen by us though. If you see it dialing up to 100% on load, they patched something. That's a 2 second flag for a high speed user but most of the network and server side stuff, we won't even know. It will just stop crashing and timing us out.

    Due to the randomness of it, it's part Evony, part bad internet. I'm not sure why we are being dropped so much but making us log back in isn't all bad. It tells me security is a concern.

    Blaming the internet, is a lot of BS. I do not have these types of problems with other real-time games. It is possible that they have shortchanged their own bandwidth and that causes part of the problem, but that is in their control.

    Virtually everything in the game is within their controll other than the "internet". They need to fix the problem(s), whatever is the cause. Buy more bandwidth, reorganize their databases, buy more HW, distribute the processing, load ballance their network: What ever the cause(s) fix them!

    However, my main point is that they really need to fix these issues FIRST! Way before playing with game mechanics. As far as I have seen, all they do is play with the game mechanics. the basic lag, client and server crashing has not been addressed in any significant way since I started.

    Everytime a new server shows up I can expect the lag times to get worse as a result. I started this game when there were only 5 servers. The lag time was bad then, but it is worse now. Perhaps the dev's should address this problem before adding countless new servers.

    This is because each server world DOES NOT have it's own server. For instance, one server would control fortification updates, another battles, another resource regen rates......for multiple servers. It's cheaper, as you don't need as many servers, but reduces bandwith, thus lag. Dedicated servers don't exist here. I only have half the certification courses for networking IT spe******t, but I SWEAR, I could have wired up the servers better than Evony does. Cutting costs at the expence of gameplay. If Evony doesn't change their pay system soon, then the problem will continue to worsen as they won't make enough of a profit to buy new servers.

    Default Developers fail to understand

    the scope of what is actually going on!

    The fact that every single server is failing does not seem to hit home with these guys.
    They only believe that "a little bit of lag" is occurring!! This a monumental problem that is not being addressed. Why are the dev's spending soooo much time in changing the way the game is played??? If no-one can even log on....whats the point???

    You guys can say all you like about how admin is doing all they can, but the fact is....this game is getting worse every single day!!!!

    Log in via the site with "keep me logged in" option checked and save the URL, and you'll never have to log in again. (Unless this is changed, and is not reccomended for public computers.)

    Well, as you said yourself the DEV's are messing around with the game to make it better and if you want it better, you have to deal with the consequences. And if the servers go down, just take a break, go outside or come here and talk on the forums.

    I take back my effort to reason.

    5 minutes is how long server 5 has stayed up between lagg outs and crashing.
    They broke a record earlier and kept it up for 20 minutes before the spinning clock showed up.
