Blaming the internet, is a lot of BS. I do not have these types of problems with other real-time games. It is possible that they have shortchanged their own bandwidth and that causes part of the problem, but that is in their control.
Virtually everything in the game is within their controll other than the "internet". They need to fix the problem(s), whatever is the cause. Buy more bandwidth, reorganize their databases, buy more HW, distribute the processing, load ballance their network: What ever the cause(s) fix them!
However, my main point is that they really need to fix these issues FIRST! Way before playing with game mechanics. As far as I have seen, all they do is play with the game mechanics. the basic lag, client and server crashing has not been addressed in any significant way since I started.
