Default Steve Jobs and the Future of Apple

Steve Jobs passed away today at the age of 56. We have lost an icon, not just an American icon but a world icon.

If you aren't aware, Steve Jobs recently gave up his position as CEO of Apple. He had pancreatic cancer and battled it for a long time, leaving the company in 2009 and coming back for a short time, only to officially leave earlier this year.

Do you think his death will affect the company, and in what way? Perhaps his death will have more effect than his resignation.
Furthermore, what affect do you think will result in other computer companies?

No threads about one person. If you would like to somehow rephrase the OP to incorporate another topic of discussion besides this one person, you have 5 minutes to do so. =D

I'd like to first point out, as history as shown, the rules may be disregarded if the person is liked enough. Therefore, I submit Mr. Jobs deserves this thread.

He was the Ford of my lifetime. From his death, the phoenix shall rise again to reclaim the accomplishments.
