No offense but seriously i havent even knew him.
I think nothing will happen ...Old people die just so that new people with better minds come and replace them.

Surely their family and friends cry for them... But yeah, the point stands, I guess the superlative is needed for effect >.>
Also, shame he had to die so young... Cancer sucks.I'm still curious as to how the company will continue, (if there are any less characteristics influences etc) regardless of the fact that he stepped down a while back. - I think there probably won't be though.. >.>

I think after a brief period of mourning, both sincere and calculated, that it'll be business as usual with Apple. I think the only legacy that Jobs left behind him was the memories of the race with Bill Gates when it came to tech advances. Even those will fade in time, as Apple succeeds or fails on it's own merits.
Special Props To Don Ezio for this!
In war, victory. In peace, vigilance. In death, sacrifice.
i dont quite see what the big deal is...i realize he made a lot of cool technolagy, but there are a few hundred other compnies out there doing the same thing. Although, i am not heartless enough to say i dont care...i have lost a couple of my family and one of my parents to cancer, no one ahould have to go through that.
It won't affect much. It's not like Steve Jobs was sitting in a throne delegating every Apple product, project, and research. He wasn't the one meticulously going through all the details to design his products and make the technological breakthroughs. He filled his company with great minds and great talent, all of which are still working there. True, he was a big part of the innovations, but he wasn't the only factor, and as such it will not affect Apple much.Originally Posted by jorbaud/SbD

Fun Fact: Due to Microsoft's Monopoly on the computer market in <insert date here cuz I can't remember and ain't going to google>, the US government commissioned Bill Gates to create a competitor. Microsoft gave Steve (and that other dude) a LOT of money to found Apple.
People like Steve Jobs make a huge impact on companies, and he will be missed. If you don't believe me just look at HP, and they struggles they've had!
All the Best,

Apple will more than likely fade into obscurity without Steve Jobs.
It'll probably be similar to the way Apple fell apart when Jobs was fired way back when.
RIP Steve Jobs
Anyway apple will be fine, if anyone's been watching the stocks they would have noticed that since his death apple has gained a tonne of value, they have taken over from Exxon for lead in the united states (this may no longer be true due to the stocks always changing). Steve Jobs wasn't a inventor he was a marketer, not saying this to demean him but the average persons view point is that he created the Mac OS X system single handed and had some sort of story book rise to power. Truth is Microsoft paid him to become a competitor and he did a awesome job of creating Apples market image and we all know without Apple's market image no one would buy one. Apple is now run by gifted and intelligent people that Jobs had the sense to hire, I am sure it will be fine.
