Dreams are one thing that has allways facinated me, and if Lucid Dreaming is knowing your dreaming and changing things, Then yeah ive done it, its not normally the whole dream i control mearly myself in it, for instance ive made myself do a commando roll in a dream just to see if i could

now its ssfs turn to say something that will make me seem like a bit of a wierdo, but I do think in some way Dreams are your subconcius's way of explaining things to you, When i do remember my dreams i think about them and useually theres something thats worrying/interesting/involved with me in some way that the dream was refering to.

Just my thoughts on the subject
Dont think im too crazy, tho i am.

Today, I had a girl mention an outlandish, abstract, weird idea.

She said, "what if we are all in someone's dream?"

Something I wouldn't believe, but it came up in a discussion about existence and space. I thought I'd share.

The wheels of survival are greased more readily by easy lies than hard truths.

It does sound "outlandish" but how do we know for sure that this isn't really what it is?
I've pondered about something similar to that before. Maybe it could be that we are all living in our own dream; everyone around you exists & you exist in their reality, but these are all parralel universes. For example, what's happening to my friend & I in my reality is different from what's happening to her & me in HER reality.
I think of it this way: Anything is possible. So there really aren't any limits to ANYTHING.

    Circular logic FTW.

That kind old lady stopped the rain for us.
She said it would only make us cold, and miserable, and sick.
We thanked her and hugged her and she walked away smiling warmly.
    I miss the puddles...

In a sense, become a somewhat "god" within their own dimmensional plane. A penny for ones thoughts on the subject? Is it real? Does one truely have control of the dream? All opinions are welcomed.
I have had several lucid dreams, but not full control of that dreams. In essense it feels all so very real, while in that dream state, and often I am able to use partial logic to survey my surounding to an extent, however, memories of it is vauge, in a sense of visual discription.
The dreams becomes very convincing when you are able to control partial of the event in that dream, specially when it triggers emotions.

In one of my lucid dreams I was able to glide at a low altitude by using some suit that resembles a mini glider. I would run very fast and would jump and attemp to glide several times until I succeeded to glide 10 ft, 20 ft 30ft and so on. When I do appear to glide, it fits in the logical sense that it is possible therefore my subconscious believe it is real.
Then the question, was it because my mind generally analyze event, situation etc that my subconscious generated this dream base on my thinking pattern? therefore appears very convincing...I can only assume.

In one of yet another of my lucid dreams, one of my X-girlfriend who have left me for over 20 years now, visited me and appologized in my dream.
The event is soo real, the location is soo familair although vague in details, which tells me the details is part of my current memory rather an actual location where my dream took place.
Another interesting things that i remembered about that specific dream, is that current people in my life were also there, such as my wife, my kids, and friends, however, they were also vague in details, but my subconscious were able to determind and recognized who they were even if they were just a . silhouette figure.
My x-girlfriend never age in that dream , she look as she were when se left, I believe my subconscious took that stored memory as I remembered her.

In that dream, I was also able to control decision or believe I could and the result of my desicion fits the logical sense.

After that dream, I asked my wife and kids if they had me in their dreams, they said no, none of them remembered their dream that week.

So, in summary. Dreams can be very real, but not real so, my answer would be ILLUSION
If you are soo convince it is real, it is probably because your subconscious is convince and have no answer.

This is my take on dream world....
