I'm not sure where I got the 12 now. I'm trying to find a source but everything says 11. That threw off my whole post then and makes me look kinda dumb. But oh well, the point still stands- it's not going to be a problem for 2012.

And I knew you didn't think it would be the end of the world, I'm just saying how those that do are not only lacking credible support to back their claim, but actually have credible support debunking their claim.

anyways, despite whether or not the end will come, what do you guys expect the actions and reactions of people around the world to be like just before the 21st and just after (afterwards assuming the world doesn't end.. Obviously there'd be no reactions if the world ended because there'd be no one to react except maybe some loony underground, and who cares about the loonies?)?

Probably similar to when the world was supposed to end May 21st this year.

In regards to the reaction towards the end of the world.
The world is divided in so many different groups supporting many different beliefs. As for me, the religious version of the end of the world pretty much ran its course, considering how many religious version of the supposed end of the world came to past.

Now with astronomy base end of the world theory, it will hit a lot harder to many people, both none religion and religious alike.
From my experience I have noticed that the general public can be easily misled to believe anything, provided the proof is visible or align with their logical thinking. Many will also take advantage of this events and our fear to make millions.

Let me take the conspiracy theorist for example.
This group strong believe that our Government is hiding something serious from us. They coincide the building of many D.U.M.B (Deep Underground Military Base) around our country with the 2012-2013 end of the world and to support that theory, they also included the planet X into the equation.
Even a very educated person can be lured to believe such theory with a very well organize evidence, specially how trust worthy our government has been.



When all this comes to past, it will make us a lot stronger, however, it will also make ignorance of many of us; that when the real end of the world do come around, even with significant evidence, we might just brush it off like all the others.
