Think about it... Mafia can't mob kill one another... but they sure can lynch each other...

what if this is all a set up... to get the civilians to trust a mafia... they will be destructible...

I doubt the mafia would do that this early in the the game. Tactically it would make more sense to wait till round 4 or 5 i would think.

At this point I feel in my gut that if Alu is mafia, Gotti will be too.

Mafia can't oust each other. Since I openly declared "Alusair is mafia without a doubt", I can't be a mafia, if Alusair is (which she is).

And I had the same feeling Bole, and since I know for a fact Alusair is mafia, even if noone else does, I think Gotti could be too

And, as well, as jorbaud says, if Alusair provds to be Civ, and me as mafia, the game would be over for the civs anyway...

Hehe says Alu is mafia

So, either...

1. Hehe is telling the truth, we kill Alu. It is confirmed Alu is Mafia.
2. Hehe is lying, we kill Alu. It is confirmed Alu is civilian.

In situation 1, Hehe can be:

A. A civilian, telling the truth because he wants the civilians to win.
B. Mafia, he is killing Alu (who is still Mafia in this situation) to win the civilians trust. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN OR HEHE IS MODKILLED.

In situation 2, Hehe can be:

A. A civilian, (in this situation Alu is a civilian and Hehe is lying) who is just making stuff up. No end goal can be found here, it's just Hehe being crazy.
B. He's Mafia, and Alu has a good secondary and he's indirectly outing himself as Mafia to us all.

Ok, so situation 1A, civilians win because Alu is mafia and dead. Situation 2A is 50/50, if Alu dies and is proven Mafia, Hehe just looks good. If Alu dies and is a civilian it will look like Hehe is Mafia. Situation 2B has Hehe giving himself up to get rid of Alu's strong secondary. If this happens, we will kill Alu to find out she's a civilian then kill Hehe the next round, who himself may have phoenix thingy.

Situation 2A can be ruled out. I don't think anyone thinks Hehe is a civilian and just making up crap about Alu for no reason. He's either telling the truth or lying to hide something, that's why you play this game.

So 1A or 2B.


1A, civilians win all around. 2B, we kill Alu (civilian) but Hehe is outed as Mafia. I think that's an OK trade, 1 mafia is worth the life of 1 civilian no matter their secondary because 1 mafia life = 5 civilian lives.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but all possibilities are covered here. Hehe is correct when he said if he is Mafia he could have just lied to Morgan, telling her he is a civilian so it is not proof Morgan is Mafia. But, if Hehe is proved Mafia I don't think he would be doing this because 1 mafia life = 5 civilian lives. His death is 20% of the mafia, Alu's death is 1/25th (right?) of the civilians. If Hehe is Mafia, gets Alu killed by lying, we kill him next round only to see him back alive in 3 rounds, we will just kill him again. We would have wasted 3 turns (killing Alu, killing Hehe, killing Hehe a second time), but I still think 3 turns is worth the death of 1 mafia.


EDIT: Mafia cannot oust each other, yeah. So Hehe cannot be Mafia if Alusair is Mafia or he'd be breaking the rules and modkilled.

In case i forget to vote later, and based on all the recent posts, seems the best option atm.

To clarify, raster has pretty much got the situations covered. While i disagree that 1 civ is always worth 1 mafia, its highly unlikely Hehe is lieing AND Alu has that important a primary and secondary role. Possible, but worth a risk in my opinion.

No, it is very likely that Hehe is Mafia and lying. But that doesn't bother me because Mafia wouldn't gain as much as we would if this situation were to play out.
