Even so, a barn full of food might as well not be yours if there is only one or two sniping rifles between all of you, and a couple hundred zombies decide to migrate out of a nearby city towards that spot...

Realize that you're the 1% that's still alive and well, and they're the 75% or so that's still moving. Overall, the odds are not so good. As long as both you and ALL of your supplies can move on a moment's notice, you've got a better chance for survival.

yes we are the 1% but whats the odd of over 50 zombies going to his house at once? he lives out in the country thats a ways out there they usually stick around the city they died at or not to far from it

like he said where he is from is not all that populated so chances of 500 or so zombies showing up there would be like the chances of me winning the powerball lmao slim to none..maybe a few but a few 1 person can handle if they know what they are doing..either with a melee weapon or a gun...
when did pigs grow wings and fly???

Though I doubt there will ever be a zombie apocolypse, I guess I can go through some things.

First, you need to gather supplies and weapons to survive this nightmare and combat any of the undead. The best types of weapons to use in a zombie infestation is usually a shotgun, pistol, and rifle, not really machine guns. To add to this, you need to use weapons that are precesion weapons, as zombies can only be truly killed by attacking the brain as the other organs stop functioning. Hand-held weapons that work are swords, clubs, and every persons best friend, the crowbar. Not to dis on assult rifles and smgs, they are great to use if you have them set to semi automatic as that conserves ammo. But you also have to be very careful as zombies hav e improved senses. Their smell, hearing, and sight are more advanced than ours. It is also wise to use a suppressor on you guns so that you can't be picked up.

For a base, well....thats a tricky thing. You want to pick an area where zombies are at a major disadvantige. Always make your base someplace that focuses on a zombies major weak points. Zombies cannot climb and swim, therfore you should make you base somewhere with deep water and with height. A great place would be an oil rig. Oil rigs are built with water dissulutions so that see water can become fresh water to drink. Fishing would allow food, as well as on-board gardens (that will need to be made) for extra food. Medical supplies can be found here as well and the fact that they were built to withstand the elements along with their lasting life, makes it pretty much an impenetrable fortress. I will add more to this but for know what I have here is pretty much a royal flush for when it comes to a zombie apocolypse...

Well the good news is the nearest town over a couple hundred people is 20km or so away which means a long walk for any slow zombies and the odds of them all coming to my house at once is slim at best. The entire province has 130,000 people in a few hundred square kilometers and most of that is in 2 not that big towns, neither of which are close. With several uninhabited small islands nearby along with lots of farmland and barns. If zombies do wander my way odds are there are few enough at a time they can be wiped out easily. Or else you just keep quiet in the loft of a barn and no zombies will get to you and will eventually move on. Also alot of the edges of the main island are cliffs so since zombies have no real sense of self preservation theres a chance alot will simple walk off the edges into the ocean.
