Since you're not aware, let me be the first to inform you that not all bodies of water have salt in them. Zombies will not cause all land masses but one to disappear under the water. Also, fresh water is not hard to acquire, which you would know if you had the most minimal understanding of wilderness survival.

The food situation is the food situation. If you're prepared and have food and are intelligent enough to know how to acquire more food without putting yourself in harm, no worries. Food is all around you. You all were earnestly talking earlier about the importance of fire arms for hunting, yet now you choose to suggest that fish will be infected. Do you know what dilution means? No, you probably don't because you're 12. Eating fish won't drive you crazy, it's one of the main sources of protein for billions of people world wide. But you wouldn't know that either. Let's pretend all the fish are somehow infected, say...they were the cause of the infection. Ok, just point your sailboat in the direction of an uninhabited island (of which there are many all over the world), go pick some nuts, berries, shoot some squirrels or dig up ground worms to much on. Humans regularly eat insects, so go find an ant hill or grasshoppers. Just because you're spoiled and only know how to acquire food by removing the packaging doesn't mean more intelligent people will starve.

not if you have the boat stationary at least 10 nautical miles away from land with at least a good 500-1000 feet deep water...along with having rowboats to go to land...

infected sea life? wow you guys think outside the box

I only really have one thing to say on the topic, you have no idea what will happen during a zombie apocalypse because, since zombies haven't existed to date, you have no idea how they will act and whether or not the virus will affect the decaying process.

as far as you actually know, zombies could range from humans with major psychological problems to crawling lumps of tissue only kept alive by an infection.

since there are such an array of possible circumstances the only way to really prepare is to think ahead, collect as many non-parishable foods as possible, stockpile weapons and ammunition, and design your survival plan, anything beyond that is almost irrelevant without REAL primary information on zombies

Obviously the fish wouldn't be infected as animals, unlike humans, are pretty much unable to be infected by the virus...the zombie virus or z virus would only affect humans and as it would not be airborne nor spreadable through contaminated aquatic life in an ocean there is no need to worry. And Im quite familiar with what Dilution is rasterbee, so no need to go off like a toddler with a temper tantrum. The point being, that with naval survival, your pretty much home free with the exception of regular routenly checks on crops and of your groups health....

I am starting a Zombie research facility, to study the effects of the z-virus to see how if it has cross-special atributes.

    No, I don't.

    I'm drunk a lot.

And I probably just started crap to start crap. I can't prove lucid dreaming isn't real.
