    level 10 in all combat techs. Barb cities repop immediately, so you can't layer attacks like you can against players. "Defensive trebuchets" absolutely REAM ballista, so you can't use those. WTF?!?!

    hmmm, maybe we need to start adding some siege fodder, like rams, maybe the Def Trebuchets will hit them instead of ballistas. I guess I will try to test that, guess ill start making some rams.

    also rams have more life so that might work

    1) You didnt use enough ballista. Mess around with the calculator with the defending troops just as 400k warriors. Best to have over 30k to attack a level 10 barb city
    2) In the report it still says rockfall, thats not defensive trebuchets yet atleast. I know that they are active now, but thats not them in the report..

    The new patch definitely makes it much harder for newer players to gain ranks. Earlier all you had to do is get some ballistas and lvl 6 archery and bam, get to Duke/Furstin easily.

    1. They havn't updated the report links. The in-game report calls them trebuchets.

    2. The calculator is worthless, it doesn't count techs or heroes.

    3. Even if you assume the calculator ISN'T worthless, it shows ONLY archers as losses- AKA, I would still have had 10.5k ballista shooting at stuff, WAY MORE than enough to kill 3666 archer's towers.

    4. The fight lasted 51 rounds. Far as I can tell, that means there were a bunch of rounds killing off the 40k warriors, then the remaining rounds in duels between my archers and the barbs' ATs.


    The bottom line is they added Rockfalls as a counter to siege weapons in PVP. That's fine, siege really did need a counter (other than "lots more units to get to them and kill them" and "they take longer to build"). However, the counter to the trebuchets is fairly clear cut- they take a long time to build, and once they're gone they're gone. HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO BARB CITIES! They get instant repops AND they get full repops over the course of an hour! Barb cities REALLY should not get trebuchets as part of their defenses, as there is no counter to them in a single wave. Failing this, barb cities should respawn trebuchets MUCH slower (say, 24 hours for full repops, or at LEAST bring it down to 8 hours for full repops, like resources).

    PVP broke PVE, and while this is a PVP game, THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION TO GET HIGH-END MEDALS! This puts a hard-cap on rank for anyone who cannot afford to buy medal boxes (whose price are a whole DIFFERENT topic). This really, really, really needs to be fixed.

    /agree they will either have to change the way the 10 NPC city spawns its units or change the way you get medals, because with your report in mind, getting high ranks would not be free anymore.

    I had not attacked a high level barb city, or player since i logged on so i didnt know about the reports.

    You say the calculator is worthless but if a level 10 barb city has level 10 techs and you have level 10 techs its kinda even. And sure it doesnt count heros either, but you dont know the attack of the NPC hero anyhow. If you would actually try the calculator, around 30k ballista (with other units) is where you start taking way less losses.

    Even before the 6/1 patch I wouldnt have tried to attack a level 10 barbarian city with anything less than 25k ballistas+fodder.
