Death of Evony (sadly)
Beyond all the mistakes over the past 3 weeks, in previous posts I've pointed to the fact that management clearly lacks the vision and understanding of what drives the players, especially the paying players to stay and enjoy their game.
It's this lack of vision that is only being further highlighted over the last 2 weeks which is guaranteeing an end of this games run. The continued tweaking of barb cities and altering of the combat in the wrong direction while not acknowledging the critical flaws within the system is inexcusable. The continued opening of new servers while other servers are left broken is pathetic.
New servers open room for new players to have an even chance, but also spread out the players, and prevent the game from filling up and having meaningful combat. Why do they keep doing this? Because the game has no end-game. Once you reach higher levels, effectively, the game is over. They know this, and don't know how to fix it, so they just keep pushing out new servers in hopes of bringing in new money.
Defense is WAY too high. Attacking a strong player is pointless. Alliances are no longer alliances, but chat rooms. An entire alliance could attack my main city with me not online, and they'd just bounce off me like flies. WHY?
The silent continued nerfing and lack of communication only further points to the blind management and how "in over their heads" they really are at fixing this.
