I'm sorry, but this has just prompted more alt alliances being created on my server..

Can't rejoin it for a day so rather then let accounts be alliance-less they just create another alliance to store them temp.

The biggest issue is that it hinders inter-alliance city transfers.

There are three very legitimate reasons for city transfers that come to mind...

    1) Someone in the alliance has a powerful political hero and is willing to use his time to help build up a city for a weaker member.

    2) Someone in the alliance is leaving the game and no longer needs their cities.

    3) Someone in the alliance is getting hammered and you want to prevent a "Red" from taking the city

These needs can ALL be easily addressed by one simple change in the game - allow players to attack fellow alliance members and even friendly alliances.

    Think about the ramifications....

No more need to drop out of alliance.

No more enemies switching sides after they have been beaten down to hide behind a blue alliance.

As I understand it, the alliance cooldown was put into place to prevent gamesmanship that violated the TOS. I think that this change could be implemented to restore a certain balance to the gameplay.

Allowing alliance members to attack each other is not a good idea. It may lead to bullying of other alliance members. If you are being helped(which is not really supposed to happen because if Evony wanted to give you a top hero, they already would have. Honestly, I do not agree with you on that change. However, I do agree on the thing about not being able to rejoin the alliance for 24 hours...How about making it 4 hours?

i dont think the 24 cooldown is good at all i was booted by mistake bc my name is close to an alliance member...now i have to wait 24hours before i can get back in witch is stupid...24 hour cooldown is really missing up the game for me...

yeah i agree with some1 earlier if the two members cjeck a box to agree that a certain member of their alliance can attack them then that should be fine

Wasn't city swaps the very reason that Evony put the 24 hour cooldown on in the first place?

Correct me if I'm wrong but it was stated that in Age II, people were using the no cooldown to drop out, swap those big cities that i never remember the name of, and have it stuck in some truce thing that I can't remember what was said.

As you can see, I know absolutely nothing about Age II, but implementing an 'attack fellow alliance members and friendlies' policy would just cause these issues all over again.

I don't like the cooldown either, but there's no issue in dropping out and moving over to a greyed sister alliance for 24 hours while I wait it out.

The reason evony put it into place was not to prevent city swaps, but to discourage people from dropping from alliance to use certain glitches and end arounds for massive res, troops, and or hero swapping. overall i'd say it's just another example of a failed attempt by evony to stop the use of glitches, that actually ends up hurting the players who don't use them more than the players evony was targeting.

If people could attack alliance mates evony would be completely ruined. There would be NO POINT in an alliance at all. People would exploit this to no end. Bad idea...

It wasn't meant for age 1 at all. but was a mistake by evony and now they're trying to make it look like it was in the plans all along....it sucks big time and prevents any alliance member helping out another alliance member.....if you want help attacking another player you need to be close...if you dont have a city there and you cant take one from an alliance member because of 24 hours cooldown, it really nullifies alliance
