Maybe new research will allow your army to travel to other worlds (evony servers). Send troops to establish bases and fight wars on different servers?
Ok, I'm leaning heavily now on the Russian side as I stated earlier when I posted the resemblence of the Russian flag.
So here's something interesting I found.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konstantin_Tsiolkovsky
Konstantin Tsiolkovsky
The key concept of the space elevator appeared in 1895 when Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky was inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris to consider a tower that reached all the way into space, built from the ground up to an altitude of 35,790 kilometers (22,238 mi) above sea level (geostationary orbit).[5] He noted that a "celestial castle" at the top of such a spindle-shaped cable would have the "castle" orbiting Earth in a geostationary orbit (i.e. the castle would remain over the same spot on Earth's surface).
The main works of Tsiolkovsky after 1884 dealt with four major areas: the scientific rationale for the all-metal balloon (Airship), the streamlined airplane, trains, hovercraft, and rockets for interplanetary travel.
Since 1896 Tsiolkovsky systematically studied the theory of motion of jet apparatus. Thoughts on the use of the rocket principle in the cosmos were expressed as early as 1883 by Tsiolkovsky. But a rigorous theory of jet propulsion described them in 1896. Tsiolkovsky derived the formula (it was called "Formula of Aviation"), establishing the relationship between:
§ speed of a rocket at any moment
§ specific impulse fuel
§ mass of the rocket in the initial and final time
Everything keeps coming back to russia-
The clue 1 puzzle
The co-ords joined together forming the image from clue 2 (still not sure of the significance of this
And now the possibilty of clue 3 having something to do with the russian flag; 1896, merchant fleets, an addition of naval based combat and/or trading?
I may be way off here, just poking around, want to hear what others think!

Hey, the Hindenburg Disaster was on May 6th......maybe that's why they are launching on that date!
The clue is posted on Facebook..you have to go and look at the Aether-1 page to find the clue.
