Perhaps a toogle button, report channel toggles between alliance chat and report channel.

Click Reports, Check, Click Alliance Chat

Best wishes to those who were in ICECOLD, MERC, HONOR on 131, SOLACE on 144, thePack2 on 158

    How about just:

    MARKET: <14:55:08> Bid: 125000 Iron, Price: 3062500, Arrival: 15:25:08

cuz... just how often do we need to be spammed how the market works?

btw, this change alone would clean up my reports tab. I trade on the market so insanely often, that I don't even bother to clean out that tab anymore letting them auto-expire, as it just wastes too much time. I have a few thousand unread reports in there I'll never bother reading or deleting cuz it is a huge pain manually deleting only 10 at a time.
2.) Show npc hits that have losses in the reports tab. People want to know exactly what they've lose against level 10 npcs.
Would rather keep all of the NPC/Valley battle reports, but send all of the "Troops Returned" messages to the chat.
3.) Replace the SYSTEM part, with the city name. It's obvious it's a system message, since that's the only kind of message we can see in that channel. Reports would read as so:

New City: <14:55:08> Bid 125000 Iron, Total Price: Gold 3062500. Resources require 30 minutes to be transported. You can check the remaining time in your Marketplace.
Yeah, give the city name, instead of the "MARKET:" in my above suggestion, or the "SYSTEM:" as currently is.
1.) People complaining about not knowing when troops are in your valleys: the troops still show up under Army Movement. Just check there on occasion as you would normally check Reports. Troops that are idle in a valley should show as (--) for their arrival time.
Would be useful if we could just hit a button which would take us to the valley on the map, instead of still writing the coords down and manually going to it on the map, but in this case, I would still rather have the report. The chat channel is only useful if you're online at the time.

4.) Make it so that Valley plunders still show in our reports tab. We don't need an actual report to view (you don't have to store an actual report on the server) we just want to be able to see who plundered our valleys while we were away.

Now for the problems that aren't really problems.

1.) People complaining about not knowing when troops are in your valleys: the troops still show up under Army Movement. Just check there on occasion as you would normally check Reports. Troops that are idle in a valley should show as (--) for their arrival time.
Point 2 - should not be limited to only lvl 10 npc, any npc hits with troop lost should be in the reports tab. The return report should also be included.

Point 4 - still think valley hits/plunders etc should be back in reports tab. Its convenient to click on the report and it brings you to that valley and not having to manually type in the coord.

Default valley reports and medal farming

Its nice to keep valley reports when i medal farm. i will scout literally HUNDREDS of valleys. It's like 20 valleys from each city.
Then i look for the valleys with no archers and no cav. I open the reports from each city, while in that city, and send appropriate number of archers to attack valley. I do this city by city.

I then delete all the scout reports and use the attack reports to re-send all the attacks every hour or so.

With the new system, medal farming is going to be quite a bit more difficult and tedious. The coords and troops numbers required will have to be written down with pen and paper, then typed manually.

It would be nice if saving reports was an option.

I really really like this change. I have seen very little lag since Evony implemented this change. The lag on ss58 was so intense it was no longer even worth playing. Now it is darn near nonexistent.

Don't listen to these naysayers, Dawnseeker....this is hands down the best "improvement" you guys have come up with to date.

The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving on.

Scout missions still generate normal reports, so your method doesn't need to change.

Any idea when this will be rolled out to the other servers?

I used the same system, if the report had not been read then I had not dispatched troops.

I now keep the SRs, and keeping track of what is where is more difficult, but doable.

Another system pen and paper with a grid and check boxes or something like that might work.

We don't have a time frame yet, but as soon as we do, we'll let everyone know!
