Interesting topic. I belive a set up battle is fully legit battle. Its almost the same as putting a city next to someone, and they truce, so you wait out the 12 hrs (olny differance being your top hero use) Not that many have the food to wait out the 12 hr cooldown nowdays, you know there going to be on when they come out so you expect serous retaliation then.

some of the best fights ive had have been those kind. Tho ive never Acctually set up a 1v1 myself, but I will and have fought everyone whos ever ported on me, (Exeption, i get online and citys wiped and loyaltys low, then ill truce as fast as i can lol)

Full FH, 1v1's are IMO the only legitimate battles out there. Fighting an offline defender is more of a massacre, and generally for a purpose (revenge, capping the city-which is pretty impossible with an online defender- res, etc) whereas 1v1s with full FH's are just fun. Yeah, using your big hero could make things unfair but seriously, in a friendly 1v1, you don't tend to care as much.

Plus, talking to your opponent is required to agree on terms. If you don't do that, it's much easier to just hate the guy and drop a hero to cap his best one, or end up ****ed off the whole time rather then actually enjoying it. If you lose a 1v1 within the decided terms, you can't say you got hit unfairly. No one likes logging on to no troops or a missing city, heroes etc. 1v1's keep good sportsmanship alive. I have more respect for you Norr as a fighter then most other forumers, because 1) you usually tell at least most of the story, even the parts you don't like so much, 2) they're pretty much always 1v1's and it takes much more skill to get a good hit in an online 1v1 then it does to get a good hit in a 1v (just one person online). A hit an on offliner is as good as a setup, although it is of course a trickier setup.

How is that hit, in any way, like the setup you described? They obviously don't fight a lot of 1v1's. If the player was offline and you spammed his FH full, then sent the hit, then maybe. But the other player obviously agreed full FHs.

The fact that you view it as more honorable is the only needed reason for it to be valid at all. But beyond that, 1v1's encourage sportsmanship etc, rather then just logging on to dead cities and hating the guy or alliance that did it.

Idk if any of that made any sense...
