In an effort to extend Jeffrox's excellent topics to Age II, I've put together a puzzle:
----
Storyline: You own Atlantis on na99. You are part of an alliance of 30 members with no allies. A birdie forwards you a memo being passed around by the Evil Coalition (EC). It reads thusly:
----
Three days from now, we will attack Atlantis between 15:00:00 and 15:00:59 with the following waves:
• 1,000 waves of 100 Worker/Warrior/Scout/Pike/Sword/Archer/Cav/Phract
• 1,000 waves of 100 Worker/Warrior/Pike/Sword/Cav/Phract, 99,400 Archers
• 1,000 waves of 100 Cavalry, 99,900 Archers
- EC (Evil Coalition)
----
Unfortunately, you have no idea what order they will arrive in. Eva tells you that you cannot close your gates, lest she become the laughing stock of the realm.
----
Objective: Win against all incoming waves while minimizing the barracks time needed to replace your alliance’s lost units.
----
Assumptions:
1. Age II Mechanics
2. You own the best defending hero in your alliance: Henry IV, and have a 12 starset with Level 10 Gear.
3. You own the best politics hero in your alliance: A 99 base politics HH.
4. Your attackers are all using level 100 heroes with 400 attack, 50 intelligence, 9 starset, war horn, corselet, and penicillin.
5. You and your 30 alliance mates have an unlimited number of each type of unit.
6. You own the only Historical City in your alliance.
7. No uprise/buxom bonuses are in effect on either side of the battle.
8. DXCalc is 100% accurate for these battles.
9. The lag on your account will be too bad for you to perform any actions from 15:00:00 to 15:01:00 on the day of reckoning.
10. Assume 0% heals for scoring purposes
11. No stratagems allowed
12. Building a Beacon Tower is against your moral code
----
Scoring:
• Dead Worker: 50 Points
• Dead Warrior: 25 Points
• Dead Scout: 100 Points
• Dead Pikeman: 150 Points
• Dead Swordsman: 225 Points
• Dead Archer: 350 Points
• Dead Cavalry: 500 Points
• Dead Cataphract: 1,500 Points
• Dead Transporter: 1,000 Points
• Dead Ballista: 3,000 Points
• Dead Battering Ram: 4,500 Points

The winner of the puzzle will have the entry with the lowest score.
