    Default how to take a city from a b ot

    Anyone like to tell me how to take a city from a bot . I am clearing the res , then he sends the rest out with transporters which return after the hit . And so on , comforting so I can never get below 12 loy .

    Assuming you're at 1 mile, you can send with a slow click such that you always have an outbound attack, continuously, the bot will start to get into trouble.

    They're set to send out ALL the food presuming there's enough transports to do so, so the troops in the city will refuge if you keep at it.

    We've certainly seen circumstances where the hiding bot stops functioning and you can get all the res. Once you have all the res and it's at 0 food with troops inside, it will struggle to survive. No gold to heal or food to move troops.

    At this point the bot will use other cities to send emergency res to comfort, but if you're hitting continuously it may not be able to use the res in synch with comforting, in which case you're in clover.

    Try mixing attacks. Bots react differently to different attacks, by mixing cav loyalty waves, trans bombs, rainbows, throw in some pikebombs, and try to sneak SBs in. Bots aren't perfect, esp during lagy times you should be able to slip the occasional SB in. Keep repeating, be patient eventually you will catch it off gaurd.

    If you are going to cap a Bot city that is well set up, you will have to zero the accounts other cities at the same time, esp. cities close to the one you want to capture. The bot will usually scout transport food and gold from other cities to a city that is under attack/low on res so it can comfort. If it has cities close by sending res you might aswell give up, or pray that the bot goes offline because it will be virtually uncapable.

    another thing to do is using starts ( in age 2 ) like thunder raid to make it land a lot earlier then the Bot expects. another trick to use is to attakc the other city's of the botted accounts untill they have no res. then attack the 12 ( if that is what u want to get ) and eventually he will have no food to feed troops and no gold to heal the wounded ones. another trick is set camping times from all idfferent city's to it at EXACTLY the same time and the Bot will basically overload...

    Gates are closed , scout/cav will take the surplus res ( that amount that the transporters cant carry ) .

    Small point but the current bot software (specifically the program that manages all of the bots running on a PC) will restart individual bots if their memory usage exceeds a set value. The use of this 'director' isn't particularly widespread yet but it's becoming less and less likely you will be able to overload/crash the bot with multiple incoming attacks.

    The transporters leave the city 20s before the attack and return after the last attack hits . Short of sending more attacks , I cant see anyway of getting this city , by my reckoning and by conversations with other players it seems like at least 75% of all the players now use bots , preventing normal gameplay , and overloading the servers ( lag ) .

    you most certainly can get it, we've capped dozens, and the hiding function is the achilles heal, particularly if it's only set at 20 seconds

    During laggy periods 20 seconds simply isn't enough. Bots don't move out res with anything but transports but they do move out rainbows.

    Also, if you're on at maintenance time you can grab the res when the bot goes to sleep. Save your attack until the last 10 seconds before the server shuts down. Beware, though, some bots are set to open gates at maintenance which you can tell by scouting of course

    That's just where evony has got to now nadeeka. Bots are either here to stay or evony ban them all and lose their highest spending customers. I don't know anyone using a bot who would go back to manual farming.

    For your case if you can cav spam the city from 1 mile (your attacks will be landing about every 20 secs) then you will eventually catch the hiding wave+res in the city. Could take a while though and sending manually for hours you are bound to have gaps in your waves... if you were to use a bot though it's easy to spam for days

    I don't doubt that you have capped botted cities and congrats on your persistence - it's not a quick or easy thing to do.

    For anyone who doesn't know the things you are working against when trying to take a botted city are:

    Hiding - user configured for how long before an attack lands the hiding wave (res/trans/balli) is sent as an attack at a low level NPC. Most people use this.
    Gate - user configured for (in general) what attacks the bot will open for and how long before landing it opens them. Most people use this.
    Buffs - user configured what buffs (war horn/corselet/penicillin) are applied when an attack is incoming.
    Rainbow - automatic. Will send the majority of layers and ponies out to the nearest valley.
    Healing - automatic unless disabled by user.
    Layer building - user configured. Bot will build layers between attacks, often one rack is reserved for this.
    Wall building - user configured. Bot will build tad's or AT's to set range inbetween attacks.
    Rescue City - automatic unless disabled by user. Will send gold/food from other cities by scout for comforting.
    Comforting - automatic unless disabled by user. Will comfort the city every 15 mins using food or gold if available.
    Speech text/truce - user configured at what loyalty they are applied.

    It's a lot of things to consider and try to work around and even if you do then you still have the possibility/likelihood of shared keys and an alliance member will log on to fight from the account (I didn't mention that the bot can be set to post details of incoming attacks in AC did I?). Taking a city run by a properly setup bot is virtually impossible.

    Bots are not good at fighting (they don't have much in the way of battle mechanics programmed in) so killing the troops and taking the majority of any res in the city is not overly difficult. The game has become more about counting a wiped city as a victory rather than capping them as it used to be.

    I don't bother to take bot cities. I'd rather have them there farming for me so I can simply plunder the rez for myself.
