Thread: 400 Colony Acheivement

    Default 400 Colony Acheivement

Before you could send troops to colonize a city, recall them and get credit for the colony win or lose. Is it not like that now? It appears on NA42 that you have to actually win the colonization? Having to wait 8 hours to win then 24 hours to hand over, thats a 32 hour turn around per city and seems a bit excessive. Just wondering if I am doing something wrong or if they changed it to drag out that achievement from weeks to months.

It's 8 hours. Win the initial round, wait 8 hours to win the suppression battle, and voila, you get an additional colony towards your total.

If you choose to release the colony at that point, it's entirely your call. If you're doing it so you can then re-colonize the same city you just released, to get credit for multiple colonizations on the same city, that's not the intention of the colonization buff -- it's supposed to be 400 individual cities.... so yeah, I think the 24 hour handoff is specifically put into place to prevent people from attempting to do that.

Ya they changed it..used to you could just win the initial battle, then recall your troops and do it all again in 8 hours. now you have to win the suppression battle as well to get credit. Generally do the 10 for the quest and to heck with the buff doesn't seem to affect drop rate that much anyway.
