    how come this strat isn't on all servers? That's kind of unfair and bull , All servers pay money so should all server get the new strats?
    This is kinda like the aether thing getting all pumped up for something that's not there. Evony has had really good communication about aether and new game feathers this month.

    I dont think you guys are thinking what defines an "Enemy" on evony to well..

    That would be anyone not blue or green.. Most alliances have sister/ally alliances that are not blue so they can get around the 24 hour alliance lockout system.

    So that being said, What I first mentioned still applies, These will only be countered again and again until the limit is reach.

    However as I've just re-read the E-Mail (Thanks Midlothian) The Angel Items are slightly better then the Devil's. So apart from the gate closing Item the first person to use an Item will always have the slight advantage, Even after limits are reached.

    Also, If there was a cooldown between gate closing strats, This causes a big problem if someone was to port on one of my cities that has 30b resources.. Then forces my gates closed.. 30b resources takes a long time to move, Deff if im being besieged at the same time.

    Tipps right about the population thing, I didnt notice the slower growth written there.

    Yes, if you are online you can move troops/res etc. but the ramifications are big.

    Most see this as a way to defeat bots and gate closers, but what about those of us who always have open gates and fight?

    Port in on player, close gates, wreck walls, steal resources so walls can't be rebuilt, knock loyalty down to 5 in 10-20 minutes with spam and then mech smash or phract smack troops. Res gone so no heals. Better be online 24/7 or yer toast.

    Most I've talked to see this as final victory for the coiners and the end of many servers. Maybe the days of the game are numbered and Evony wants to rake in that last cash infusion. I'm giving na1 about 3 weeks before it goes belly up.

    Well Middy then you assume we all buying these packs like crazy and you assume we will get this broken gates item..
    But its like the wheel or one of those packages you have a chance of 1 out of 4 you get it.. well like stars probably even less
    Why would i spend 120 bucks on hoping to get 1?
    We will see, but too many it looks like a desperate attempt to get us spending.
    Unless they can be bought and come of the wheel.. its a diamond made of glass.
    Its disappointing...

    This game used to be free if you didnt want to do much.. Now its free if you dont mind all your resources gone aswell...

    I can't see broken gates being that effective on larger players in Age1, unless it also makes a city unable to port for that hour. These players have a couple of hundred city ports and as soon as they realise they are under attack and their gates have been frozen open or closed. The city will vanish from sight, chances are even before the first transporters hit. Again the smaller player will be the one who would suffer if this was to come to Age1, the chances are they don't have a port and the bigger players will just wipe them out.

    On Age2, where the HC are static, I can see this being useful for an alliance to use especially with no march cool down on adv ports (unless they have changed this since I stopped playing Age2)

    If this comes to Age1, it will be about as much fun as the 24 hour alliance cool down.

    Yeah players shouldn't be allowed to close your gates, that's just stupid and an evony money scam basically forcing people to spend money just to keep there resources, and if they do spend 30 bucks odds are they won't even get the counter strat. I still believe we should be able to open gates with strat but thats it, all this other stuff is just to make it even more impossible to cap HC from other alliances.

    But I still want to know why i don't even have the option to get the strats on my server.

    The closed gates part needs to go. If a player ports in to attack this item lets the enemy shut them down until they run out of strats by supressing them with forced closed gates. It allso allows them to steal your resources despite you having the ability and willingness to defend against anything they would send to you. It allso allows walls which normally take 300+ waves to break to be destroyed quickly and easily. Its allmost like your trying to encourage account share + botting at the same time your trying to offer a counter to it.

    Default broken gates, broken strat

    Has anyone successfully used broken gates? someone on our server just tried and ended up submitting a ticket because it didn't work. gates were supposed to be open for one hour and they remain welded shut.

    You guys are smarter than this? Don't you test these things before bringing them live?

    I hope this gets placed high on the developers todo list. I for one am excited at the prospect of using these new premium packages from Evony.
