In all seriousness it probably has been.

In most countries nothing is released as a cure until it has:

1. Undergone in vitro testing (cells in a flask)
2. Undergone small animal testing (mice)
3. Undergone large animal testing (monkeys) - not so much the norm and depends on whats being tested.
4. Undergone a phase 1 trial (random selection of peeps for toxicity etc) through to more specific phase II, III and IV trials for dose amounts, determining the precise action and how it may work in conjunction with other drugs etc (thats an extremely rough guide of phases)

This sounds to me like they just got lucky with a vaccination and it will not be long before the virus evolves to the vaccine and then they will be back to scrambling for a new one...
