In light of the recent "game change" by Evony I thought i would start a thread about material farming. The subject has had very little coverage in the past as materials were primarily gained from the wheel of fortune. But now we are faced with a situation where the non coiner will be reliant on trying to find these elusive material drops and a better understanding of where and how to obtain materials through farming needs to be achieved if the casual gamer is to endure.
I myself have no wish to start doing tests on how frequently materials drop if a player solely concentrates on farming them. I can say though through my own experience that I have probably got 1 piece of material for roughly 100 lv10 valley hits. I have never had a piece of material drop in any other place than a lv10 valley and do not know of anyone that can correct me on lv10 valleys being the only place these elusive materials drop.
Soooo maybe some people out there would be willing to try and make some sense of this so there will at least be some kind of understanding as to how long a non coiner would have to play the game before achieving lv10 gear.
Personally I think that lv10 valleys is a good place for materials to drop, it just needs to happen a lot more frequently to get even remotely close to the time scale it took a non coiner to get lv10 gear via his/her 21 amulet spins a day. I also think having material boxes drop on npc lv6-9 is another step in the right direction.
Finally.....lets keep this thread on topic and not start ranting about losing amulets in the first place.
I'm going to add this linkhttp://feedback.evony.com/evony/topi...ial_drop_rates from the feedback site here also, please check it out and comment there if you feel like it. Thanks.
