Thread: Can capture last cities now!

    So this has happened again to one of my players ,he was online for 20 hrs yesterday go'es to bed for 4 hrs wakes up to find his last city taken and ported.

    How the hell is being online for 20 hrs classed as inactive

    inactive to me means not logged in for say 7 days

    in EVONYS WORDS YOU CAN ONLY TAKE AN INACTIVE CITY

    This is total bullsh!t evony

    how long is inactivity, define it evony your own rules as you keep quoteing us is longer then 4 hrs

    a lot of players will quit over this,but then thats what evony want just the coiners left

    Stop whinning like a lil b1tch, this is the greatest thing Evony has ever done and if you cannot defend your last city you should not even be playing.

    evonys words are INACTIVE CITY'S you explain to me how being online for 20 hrs is classed as INACTIVE

    i agree with it if it's is inactive players, but not ones who login daily and online all day

    Perhaps Evony's definition of "inactive" means "not online and robo comforting"

    In principle I still think the removal of inactive accounts is a great thing.

    However, a friend (who is quitting, for r/l issues) decided to find out if you're last city could be capped, whilst active and online. His city was zeroed and the game logged him out. When he logged back in, his city was in a new location, his heroes all gone, but his res remained.

    So from that you are inactive, even when you're in the game playing. This needs to be addressed so only true inactive players get sent to limbo.

    Wow, finally! This is completely necessary on the older serves. And if you lose your last city, you can get it back just by logging in again, so for active players it's not really any different than being 0ed out in the traditional way except that you lose your npc field. And to be perfectly honest, I think that if you've been completely 0ed out ... I don't think you really need your npcs anyway.

    I hear a lot of people picking holes in this new patch but seems to me they are moaning for the sakes of moaning. Your questions have been answered time and time again but because it is not the answer you want to hear you think that repeating the same questions over and over will get you what you want, you need to take a chill pill and grow the hell up and deal with it.

    Positives: No more inactive accounts in your back yard - Excellent, No more clusters that allow people to hide, I can think of a few people that will be in for a culture shock - Excellent.

    now I hear that people are crying about active players being wiped out, Ever hear of a truce button? Ever hear of comforting your city? Ever hear of an alliance helping a brother out? It takes a damn sight longer than 30 minutes to 0 a cities loyalty, after loyalty 15, it drops loyalty 1 every 6 minutes, people that is 1.5 hours add the 30 mins depending on distance of attacker to get to loyalty 15 that makes 2 hours minimum to tear down an active city, that makes your arguements of 30 mins irrelevant.

    What I think is the more important question is here is :If we clear these inactives Does this make our cries for a server merger hold any credence?

    I noticed even when sent to Evony heaven their names remain in the statistics, Some of these servers have been crying out for merger forever, by removing these inactives are we strengthening our case or just doing Evony's dirty work for them?

    Answer me that then I will be content.

    Indeed our questions have been answered, but with the evony stance, it will only work on 'INACTIVE PLAYERS'. This is now being shown, not to be the case. I agree the idea in principle to remove INACTIVE players is wonderful, but it hasn't been executed quite as Dave claims it has. This is why people are pointing out what is actually going on. This way anyone who plays can be prepared for what might happen. Not just moaning for moanings sake to be fair.

    As for the clusters that allow people to hide. The people that do that, already have a solution to that, so don't expect those clusters to disappear just yet.

    What I said in my post above, was obviously an experiment conducted to see if your last city was zero'd whilst online..would it be sent to limbo. the conclusion was...yes it would. It wasn't about truce(got to have one first), comforting (got to have res) or getting assistance from your alliance (someone has to be online to help). It was to define what INACTIVE actually means, and basically it means you can be INACTIVE, whilst being actually logged into the game.

    People are getting hung up on the word 'Inactive' the bottom line is simple, last cities can be capped inactive or not, I am failing to see the difficulty here. A lot of inactives can be sent to Evony heaven yes but let us face it they have been the bane of the servers anyway, over 3 years of inactives and the capping frenzy has set the scene for extreme lag but that is another issue.

    And for those sent to Evony heaven, all they have to do is log in again and they can start again, not like they haven't lost all they had by that point anyway. And if they think the outcome was unfair they can appeal it as stated several times.

    It may suck for the losers, be demoralising etc. But hey that is life, at least you get to come back should you so wish, not like you get that chance in real life now is it.
