Should Breastfeeding in public be allowed?
I'm doing this poll because I breastfeed my babies and was made to feel an outcast and ashamed of my breastfeeding. I'm kinda upset about it and wanted to know where everyone stands.![]()

No They should have to be at home

My bf had a woman come in to his store that he works at and she just pulled out her breast, completely uncovered, and had the baby feeding while they talked about the price of a unit. He, and the three other male employees in the store, were a bit uncomfortable over the whole thing. I personally think with a little baby blanket thrown over your shoulder to cover up a little bit, it's not a big deal and very natural... but in our society with the way it is I'm not sure being basically topless should be normal.
It's definitely nothing to be ashamed of or an outcast for. I would just error on the side of modesty while doing it myself.

I think it shouldn't be done at all. If it's obscene for a man to pee behind a tree then it's equally obscene for a woman to breast feed in public.

I thought we'd moved past this one, really. Be discreet, in a car or a dressing room if possible, and keep the baby covered with a light blanket. To start during a sales meeting is just rude; excusing yourself and letting the customer know you'll come back in a few minutes is not out of the question.
Why is it you can find disgruntled people, but no gruntled ones.
Urination and breastfeeding are very different. There is nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public, as long as you cover up. Decency, mosesty, public nudity, call it what you will. But once the nipple is covered what is the difference to a woman in a bikini top or sports bra running around the park? Coverage wise people, not bouncy bouncy wink wink nudge nudge, get out of the gutter.
If you need to feed, then you need to feed. It really does become a health issue for both the child and the mother.
As for the lady whipping one out in the middle of a conversation, very bad form. Go find a spot to sit down with the child. Holy chripstycle.
I think it should be fine to breastfeed in public. Personal judgement would need to be used though on when and where to do it, and yes it would be polite to keep covered with a light blanket. Just because a person is breastfeeding doesn't mean they shouldn't be considerate of others.

Just wrong. I've been to out to eat before and have seen mothers doing this. I know a kids gotta eat, but go to the bathroom and do it, no one wants to see it. I don't care if they have a little baby blanket to put over the babies head, I still know what's going on under that blanket. I'm a dude and could never say something to mother doing it in public, but if I was a woman I walk right up to her and tell her to go some where private and do it. The worst kind are the women that know it's makes people uncomfortable and so they are twice as obnoxious about it to get attention. I hate those people, "look at me, I know you don't want to see it, but I'm breast feeding in public, yeah me".
