You seem to be indicating that market prices are decided by Evony

    This would be wrong
I don't believe in thinking before I speak
I prefer to be just as surprised as everyone else by what I say

In terms of lumber and iron, server 166 does seem to enjoy the higher end of the market prices compared to a newer and even older servers. However, the market is purely player driven. You set your own supply and demand and the prices therein.

It isn't isolated to 166, and is basically being caused by the removal of res by evony a few days ago. Those who didn't have res removed are taking advantage of those who did. This has caused the markets to go crazy.

All we can do is wait for things to settle down, and then we will see the prices come down to a somewhat more reasonable level. Whenever that may be. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope it's soon.

I'll probably get in trouble for mentioning the forbidden word, but I thought it was due to all the "bob's" playing the buying and selling game that caused it. and 123 for wood and iron is nothing. Should of seen it when they were over 200.00

If this was the 'norm' I'd agree with your thoughts, however prices only jumped to the levels they are at, after the 'fix' a few days ago.

I play on an older server, where this practice is common place. Stone you can get below 1 and sell for 15...atm it stands at 94, and has seen highs of 9900.

yeah I just seen the thread about evony wiping out people's ressie's. Sorry I have been gone awhile and wasn't aware they had done this. so now I can see why 166 market went crazy. When I first came back and seen the over 200 on wood and iron I honestly admit I had to look 3 or 4 times to make sure my eyes were not playing tricks on me, and when I decided what i was seeing was true i couldnt believe it.

166 is not even two months old yet, so anyone on there who had over 500 bil is certainly playing by some weird way's if you know what i mean.

anyway, evony is just to far out of control [market included] I do believe I hear my retirement calling me after 3 yrs

Well if you do decide to retire, I wish you a very happy time out in the real world.

Doesn't really matter what the market prices are, it's all relative.

I beg to differ, on an older server you're quite right..prices don't matter. On a server as new as 166, they do. Those who don't have 1 trillion gold left in a 'glitched' city, just can't afford to purchase res, One billion gold will buy you 5m each of lumber and iron atm on 166.

Playing the market is a major risk, as the markets are in my opinion are quite unstable.
