Default The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

December 14, 2012, for its U.S. release, and as early as November 28, 2012, in New Zealand.

Where will you be? Are you anxiously waiting for its release or will you even bother to see it when it comes out on home video? Does anyone have any thoughts on it? Will it live up to the LOTR movies, will it surpass them, or will it be a disappointment?

It is only 74 days away from its U.S. release. Have you made your plans?

Very excited about this one, just hope they don't cut a load out like LOTR.

Not sure when it gets to Ireland but I plan to be there on opening night.

Also I am just in the middle of re-reading it so its all fresh in the mind.

Lets hope Jackson does it proud.

I wont be watching it on release day, cuz I never do that (too crowded). However I have watched all the Vlogs and am really excited to see it. I'll probably watch it after Christmas.

If you haven't watched the Vlogs, you should go do that. YouTube.com gogogo

I will be buying tickets and watching it on day 1! I love the Hobbit even more than the Lord of the Rings.

I am, however, disgusted that Peter Jackson sold out and decided to make the Hobbit in three parts. The book is shorter than one volume of each of the Lord of the Rings - and he made each of those volumes in one movie. There is no reason that a 350 page book ever needs to be transformed into a 3-part movie. I think that doing so is going to make move really slowly. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm on the fence.. Could be awesome but could be an epic fail.... I will be seeing it at the movies to find out though!

By the way, there are seven Vlogs. Plus an eighth which I think has been taken down or something... So ya, that vid you posted doesn't encompass them all :P

I'm on the fence here... normally I'm more a book person, but the LOTR movies turned out alright, so.... maybe I'll see it, and maybe I won't. We'll just have to see.
