    i think the really sticky point is atlantis
    the rest could be managed

    if they merge 2-4 servers they could just provide a bigger map and give the cities an identifier so people could keep their cities
    same goes with the historic heroes, really who cares if there's 1000+ historic heroes... until the big boys have most of them

    but there is only one atlantis, it is at 0,0 and the goal is to take it and once taken hold it forever, you shouldn't lose it just to enable a merge

    unless they introduce a new city at 0,0 that is as attractive as atlantis and a whole lot harder to capture (the players will all have huge armies) i don't see how it would work

    i hope they figure out a way for you but i wouldn't hold my breath
    i don't think they included server merges in the life cycle planning for age2

    Got yourself a bet i will in turn bet the same, i honestly think it will happen that thread was only changed to planned about 2 months back even though i know the thread itself is much older. A good rule is given enough time the chance of something happening always increase, Unless it is something downright imposable ;-)

    Yes but i didn't give it a higher amount because u have to factor in regeneration this HC will regenerate so fast u will basically have to instant cap, i am thinking it should have a good HH defending as well, so whoever wins it will get the HH a fun thing would be that this HH will only stay with the owner of the 20 so if that player loses the 20 the HH reverts to whoever has the 20. Give the city a name like "Babylon" and make the HH have base of 130Polotic 130Attack 130Intellegence and have leadership of 150 and call him King Nebuchadnezzar. Just my thoughts lol. Also make the city have all of the 8 spots be fields not flat so no one can get an uber close spot, make them work for it ;-)

    Im saying you could probably pick 3 random people from our alliance and between us we would have that troop count
    Our top players have that in 1 city

    That would be fun but how would evony make money after the mergers? I mean people usually spent on gear on new servers, why they would spent on the merge servers?

    that's a good point but i think the answer is they'd make no less than without a merge and more if people spend when there's increased battles... through ports and truces and the like

    the major money drop (especially in age2) is at the start of the server but battles are what keep the people spending after they've maxed their gear

    i still believe they have no way to do it for age2 and even age1 is a business decision

    i dont know many people in my alliance who got 15 sets and once they did,coin everyday for vesta

    so even once major coining is done,evony still make $$$

    It's not just 0,0's the main sticking point. On an Age 2 server you've also got 16 states and for each state, lv16 state capital.

    Each state is subdivided by lv14's and again by lv12's. The lv14's and 12's can be overcome by increasing the map size so they aren't sat on top of one another. Although there's going to be duplicates everywhere.

    However, how are you going to overcome the state capital problem? There isn't any point of having a lv16 if your're going to 'share' it with 3-4 identical cities.

    So when it comes down to it, server merges and Atlantis are just one obstacle when it comes to Historic cities.
