It's a shame the man was so shallow and self absorbed as not to see the value of his wife nor of his daughter. The wife, obviously a genius in feduciary affairs. His daughter could have the same talents as her mother. Yet this man chose to throw away all that love for the sake of what? illusionary shame? what a stupid tool.

From what I read of China, women have a tougher time, considering that most girl babies are "deleted" before they are born, in preference to having a male child, which culturally will take care of their aging parents. From the time they are conceived, females in China are persecuted, belittled, degraded, tortured, and sold into labor slavery. I've heard of them being left outside in the open air, after they are born, to die from exposure to the elements, just so the parents can retry having a male child. So in no wise do I blame the woman in what her heart wanted to accomplish. Her motives were to advance her status as viewed by a male dominated culture. Breaks one's heart to hear of such tales.

I sincerly hope, the woman finds a real man, to be a true husband for herself, and a caring father for her daughter.
