Acctually Melri is correct, And your "noob factor" is showing. First of all, Yes it will kill a chunk of archers, and about 200-300k archers AFTER wall damage Per mech. Hope you have a fair few millions of each mech.
2nd your ratio is daft. you might as well throw 100k flat ballys or pults....
improved ratio = improved kill. When your talking millions apon millions of archers to chew through, you need as much kill from each mech as you can.
and finally name 1 person you know who keeps 40 + million archers in a city and DOESNT have it running via questionable means 24/7.
as you said, There is no unbreakable defense especially offline, BUT most people do not carry 5+ mill of each mech just to kill 1x 30 mill arch, 1 mill lista/pult city. Its pointless to even try. You will just waste troops unless you have many hitters with massive mech heros that dont care if they lose said heros.
also when citys start being that size, It starts taking a LOT of time to crack. For instance You would need to be sending 10+ full ensigned mech waves per series with 1k attack heros to Even scratch 40 mil archers before someone is online on the off chance you do catch em with there pants down.
and thats if your lucky to get 2 sets off before its logged in.
offline is the olny way to beat archer based CD's cause hopefully they might not have left a intel hero in the city. (hence some of my better kills, Landing before heros can be holy watered/moved in)
while age 2s mechanics are wierd, i think s/bombs would still target defending scouts for having higher attack first yes (since no one else answered you)
