    Let's put it this way. The people in your alliance and the 'big guys' you asked are all either trolling you or have no idea how the game works.

    Sending ponies at a 5k defense is ridiculously idiotic and just asking for glue to be made.

    You simply got lucky on that first attack.

    How often does luck play a role in game mechanics that's based on logic and numbers? so i know for future reference?

    Well, when you have absolutely no idea what you're doing and send something that is logically stupid, but win, it's called 'dumb luck'. I have no idea where you learned battle mechanics, but you should slap whoever told you that sending cav at 5k defenses was a good idea in the back of the head.

    Never.

    You won in the first report because the defense lacked enough firepower to kill your phracts.

    You lost in the second because the defense did have enough firepower.

    No luck involved, just basic mechanics. You attacked a 5.2k with ponies. You lost. That's how it's supposed to work.

    What adds the extra 200? the hero? I started reading up on real battle mechanics the other day and i cannot remember what gave the extra 200 to a 5k defence. And if i'm not mistaken the best thing to fight a 5k defence with is rainbows right?

    base range of 200.

    I can't answer the second question, varies based on the situation.

    ... the sad part is before i even saw the reports i was predicting this would be the reason ... not because its soooo common, but because those who just think more of a bigger kind of troop should kill anything no matter the "slight" variance in defensive numbers ...
