Default Perhaps npc level heroes do matter?

So have been farming 10's for about a week now, always send the same formula of troop and my att hero has been steadily rising (now at 181) and losses are usually around the 12k mark with about 8k pres. Just had an attack land and lost 57k troops but got 31k pres. Ouch. Anybody have a possible explanation for this?

It could be the formula your are using.

I used 1k workers, 1k warriors, 3.2k scouts, 93k archers and 1.8k trans. Some add pike and swords, especially when farming with low level heroes. The rule of thumb is find something that works best for you, there is no 100% fail proof way.

Try applying war/ivory horns until your hero becomes stronger as that can help with the losses.

Thanks to Infinitus for the epic B'day pressie!

Your hero isn't high enough to ensure steady losses under 6k. Until he is 200+, you'll always have the potential for that sort of loss.

And no - the defending npc hero level never matters. Period.

do u have the report? check how many traps u cleared. early in my server we had players having the same thing happen and it was determined that more round were being fought when the lost more troops and their troops killed all the traps

Afraid not, it only appeared in the chat window and I have refreshed since then. I do take on board the above points but still find it a little odd. I followed my first attack with another (same formula as Morgans) and lost 47k wit 28k pres. Thing is I have been attacking 10's all week and every single one I was losing between 15 and 12 k troops. My hero is getting bigger all the time but these last two attacks seem to be completely out of sync. Perhaps as one of the posters pointed out I have just been lucky up until now?

2k workers/warriors 4k scouts 1750 trans rest archers is the standard config for 10 farming and the config proven to be the cheapest losses wise

if you couldnt be bothered with workers, use 4k warriors instead.

im gonna echoe RTA but another thing are you sure your war horn or something didnt run out just as you were hitting?

Nope, exact same configuration, I double checked everything.

Defending hero does not matter. I've explained it a million times, so now I'm just going to reply to every thread that says it does with "your wrong, read something".

I was just pointing out that I had a series of results that were very similar then further results that fluctuated wildly. I did nothing differently and the only variable which came to mind (which I was obviously wrong about) was the defending hero. Incidentally my last attack on a 10 (with my hero now at 187) was with a loss of 77k troops, having gone from losses of around 15k and my hero constantly increasing (albeit slowly) and still using the exact same formula of troops. I STILL find it very odd to have such a discrepancy (some 60k +).

Having said that, since starting this thread I have received a very useful message from a member with point to point details of how to proceed and what to expect.
