    Sorry for any confusion.

BS! you knew exactly what you were doing by NOT stating it would be different!
Exactly...it's BS. So let's all hurt them how we can: by not spending any further money EVER again with Evony. At some point they will be forced to re-think their marketing strategies or forced to get rid of people like CSR Thantium because the funds they rely on will be much lighter. Between the continued login and technical issues, especially over the past 2 days, and now this misleading promotion, there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR ME TO SPEND.

It absolutely amazes me that Evony takes a hell of a long time to fix login issues and a hell of a long time to even communicate. Completely unprofessional and anyone who has paid money for this game should consider a class action lawsuit for failure to deliver a working product.

The problem is, for the better part of three years now, people have complained about a LOT inside the game. For the better part of three years, everyone will say the best way to truly hurt Evony, is for everyone to STOP spending money. While I agree with the merits of this rationale, it's a simple fact that it a) the only way to really be effective would be for absolutely NO MONEY to be spent, game wide. None. Nada. Zilch. And b) there's no way this will happen. All Evony has to do is open up a new server and they could recoup a lot of losses from the previous month.

I, personally, have complained... I've sent in help tickets... without about a 50% success rate in getting the problem resolved. To me, that is unacceptable. Additionally, I have a personal moratorium on buying anything else (silver keys, or otherwise), not "just until they get their act together", but none whatsoever.

The idea of a class-action suit, while attractive, is difficult. You would have to prove you didn't receive a service based on what you paid for. The game, itself, is free and, any losses incurred could not be based on rumors or speculation. Yes, I believe they mislead everyone with the silver key promotion, but proving out and out fraud is up to someone with a lot more education than I have.

You could always go after their incompetent customer service, but as this is also "free". Personally, I think that Evony has done specific things that go against their own TOS, but that's for another thread.

In short, the only way to get to them, is to honestly stop buying. Period. Threats of doing so do not carry the same weight as actually cancelling the auto cents renewal, and, no matter how tempting it may be, not buying anything else. They haven't listened to the myriad of complaints so far, so complaining on the bulletin board won't help. There IS power in numbers.

the $11 for keys works out to 55 game coins a key so whats the big deal

The silver keys are not worth it.

Most of the chests contain useless garbage.

You are basically spending $11 for a 1 out of 3 chance at a port.

Nothing else in there is very useful. Certainly not at that price.

Besides, most people can't even log into this weak sim.

It's better to spend any cents you have on a holiday until Evony figures out how to write functional code.

As for players stating that we have falsly advertised this option for silver keys. We never did, we are sorry that players assumed that the promotion would be just like other ones. We cannot do anything if you took action on non official rumors, or speculation on how the promotion would work.

Well here is evony reply to my grievance. I truly think I will stop coining altogether. We did not speculate on anything , we went on precedent, silver keys were available for sale in the shop for 50 cents. Evony should have possibly explained that there would be a change as to how you purchased silver keys. I as the customer and still really annoyed , about this matter
