The good folks that brought you evony have changed the company name to Ucool and are in the process of beta testing a new product. They are asking current evony players to test this and promise that any moneys spent during beta will be credited to accounts when the server goes live.

My take is that they are counting on this game to bring in lots of revenue and will be advertising it all over the internet, it will be where the attention is focused going forward.

Be a shame if evony players were to freely share their opinions of the services from that company on gaming review sites, consumer complaint sites or any other online forums that they can find. Hate to see a new product get a shadow over it even before it gets launched.

Maybe, just maybe, some time and effort spent fixing up some ongoing issues with evony would put people in a better frame of mind and more receptive to the new game. Maybe.

Maybe some server merges as servers are dead. Maybe some changing of the food/res requirements so players don't have to run 20 - 40 - 60 - 80 accounts, making it impossible to merge super servers (or maybe the players voluntarily reducing those numbers to see merges - yeah right). Maybe even changing up the battle mechanics a bit so we have something new to do?

Seems like the company could take some time with this customer base and that the customer base could take a few steps back to meet them. Looks like it would be something both sides could win.

Somebody has to blink first, who has the most to gain financially? Who has the most to lose?
