Why don't you turn off Age I for a specific period until a fix has been found, tested and declared OK?
This specific period could be 12 hours or 24 hours or any length of time you think would be needed.

The important thing is that the period be announced.

It could be something like this (on both the forums and social media):

"We are switching off all servers until 13:00 GMT on 05 June 2013.
If a fix is found, we will bring the servers back online at that time.
If a fix hasn't been found, we will announce a further extension at that time."

This would help everyone (both players and your staff) release a lot of stress.
People could go off and do other stuff without trying to login every minute.
They would be secure in the knowledge that nothing will happen to their accounts until "13:00 GMT".
They wouldn't need to worry about 'enemies' logging in before that time and attacking their cities.

Right now, it's a huge crowd waiting at a single door that no one knows will open when!
We all could do with a time-bound breather really!
I totally agree with your idea and suggestion. A really responsible company that cares for their players / clients would do that.
A responsible company would update and reassure their players who are their main stakeholders.

As such, they are causing their stakeholders a lot of undue stress and anxiety.

It says a lot of how "important" we are players are to them.

I feel that it is really UNFAIR that any player is disadvantaged because of this oversight that is ENTIRELY ON THEIR PART.
I have alliance mates as well as friends on the same as well as other servers who are at this moment losing troops to refuge.
Some have even lost their cities. This translates to hours and even weeks invested in the game.

All this lost is not our fault. It is not that we don't want to play. It's not that we don't have time to log on. It is because we cannot
play at all due to MAJOR MESS UP by EVONY.

Thus it is only fair that they step forward and give reassurances that all will be well. It is only right that they be accountable to their
stakeholders. Because of not for us, there would be no Evony.

It is ONLY RIGHT and FAIR that they also offer appropriate and due compensation for any losses incurred as a result of this MESS UP.
After all time is $$$ and players have invested time and even real money in this game.
