Dear Evony,
Even if a new server didn't affect your dev team's progress of fixing the ongoing problems on existing servers. Even if it were a seperate team entirely that opens a new one by typing in a few lines on a config and pointing the dns somewhere and running the program. Even if at the opening of every new server, all existing servers didn't get 1-2 weeks of crashing and/or lag and they're already stressed enough with the current problems. Even if...
It's still really poor form of you to open a new one when people have been literally days now unable to farm, queue, teleport, holiday, or truce. You don't just have a bug where it inconveniences a few people by not letting them horde another billion food per hour. You have a bug that is costing people cities and heroes that they have worked and paid for. With stuck armies you can't recall, you can't truce, port, or holiday when under attack. You also can't put up a fight when your defending hero is stuck somewhere else, or all your rally spots are clogged up by 0:00 time left returning marches and preventing you from moving layers in and out. Folks are taking advantage of this and killing their enemies. While normally I'd jump for joy at the chance for an autotrucing bot to be unable to truce... it shouldn't be because of a server mistake.
Since players in game won't be the responsible or mature ones to stop attacking each other at a time like this, maybe you Dear Evony, can be the responsible and mature one and delay the opening of this new server until AFTER all the existing servers are working correctly. It's not like the coiners will get ****ed off and quit and stop coining. They're here to make money just like you. When 176 opens they'll still spend $300-3000 each, spin mars heroes to sell and cap 10s to sell then then sell the account in 4-5 weeks when 177 opens, don't worry. Remember that all the existing servers that are messed up right now are where the buyers are playing. If the existing players quit because their chit don't work, then the coiners have no one to sell to every new month. And then Dear Evony, you lose your money on new servers too.
edit - OH and it would be almost comical if it weren't so sad... but there's a whole flock of high-upkeep low-tolerance players that actually holiday a week each month when a new server opens, just to avoid the crashing and lag. Those people can't even holiday right now because you haven't fixed their server!
