Well, no. While you may have thought farm cities when you saw that a hit had to be successful, you saw we had a cooldown that prevented follow on hits, so if an enemy truces up after you hit them, it's not really impacting you. The point was to hit a wide variety of targets, like a marauder. That doesn't mean farmed alts. In fact, I think this is even more reason to tie the rewards to honor change. You should be properly rewarded for a massive hit, which is not what happens when someone clears out their city and turtles up.
If we can find a way to ensure a method that prevents people from just continually banging away at their alts, we can revise our approach to the CD, I think again, honor change could be the key.- when hitting a WC which requires a lot of dedication, it shouldn't be a reward once every 8 hours. Also because if multiple sets are necessary, the first hit isn't always the best hit (altho the best will mostly be in the beginning when all cav/phract is still there)
Honor change? I'm wondering though if we should be looking at other parameters to prevent someone hitting an alt. Be it based on age, activity, atk/def history, to see if we can build in limiters for behavior patterns, instead of a hard CD. Then just let the honor change do the mop up work.- rethink the way how players are determined to be equal size. I'm not sure how would be a fair way and probably can't keep pres out completely as it has to be fair for both newer and established servers. But on an established server once you reach a certain point like the arbitrary 100 mil I mention earlier in this thread, you should be trooped and capable of defending. Below that maybe a percentage as multiplier as 47 mil hitting 29 mil or 3.6 mil rewarded almost the same isn't right either. 29 mil should have been rewarded more than the baby-account.
An "end of" message should be going tonight with maint. For all the automated nature of this promo, there is still a lot of hands on to it.- a leader board would be nice but at least communication about the results. I haven't seen it yet.
So at the end of the day, I'm thinking that I want to run more events like this, but we have some improvements to make, and I think focusing on promoting pvp is a fun way to do that.
