Very well said..... let's have real discussion about the issues. There are way too many of them, like evony not abiding by their own rules, by allowing peopl for over 3years now to bot and have more than one account.
Then lets talk about their promise with Super mergers ;Are you ready to face new challenges, make new friends and fight new enemies?
As part of our continuing effort to pursue player happiness, we're bringing together several servers for a battle royale in our famous Super Servers. If your server is selected to take part in this merger, it will mean more players, a bigger world and the best server performance!
It's going to be a blast!
this is yet to be seen
The problem with that statement ^^ is....they spent the time and money on accounts that could, at any time, be suspended or perma banned because they violate TOS. Yes the rule may be "suddenly enforced" but there was always the possibility that it might be. So people (including myself) have spent money on accts that they always knew could be banned. They are gonna have to chalk it up as a loss and learning experience. People gambled for a long time and won, then rolled the last set of dice and lost. It happens.
I am 100% in favor of this limit as long as it is 100% enforced on every server and on every IP address of every player that plays. That includes those using IP hiders and virtual boxes to circumvent the IP bans. So, Evony, please make this fair and even all around. Dont make those of us who are supporting you on this regret it by finding ourselves limited to 2 or 3 accts while whole alliances on our same server still run 100+ alts per player.
Alts and massive armies are what kept this game interesting and fun to play in my opinion. Evony should make a poll or vote system and see what the majority of people want then act on that and keep the majority of customers happy and progress the game how the majority of players want it. That is my opinion.
A vote would be acceptable, but how would you keep players from voting with their feeder accounts? lol. I would much rather see the number of accounts limited to less than 5, and the amounts of res in the NPC's increased. Additionally, I would like to see the "prizes" on the amulet wheel reflect the age of the servers, (i.e., 200k food, gold, iron, wood, stone, is absolutely nothing to a player with 200m upkeep, and I would be surprised if there were even one person per server that actually uses plowshares, or tax policies. And Ritual of Pact?, lol - I have like 55 of those, along with over 11k speakers. And those low-level heroes?). Anyway, my humble thoughts.
People with bvtt*** troop counts are the ones that are in agree-ance with this sh1t sudden enforcement of rules. Try having a REAL army, and fighting a REAL war, not some stupid 100karchers warcity fight that lasts all of 3seconds. And lol at people saying i want to fight people with "legit" troops and their "skill in building". Incase you didnt notice dumbazz, evony arent doing anything about Botting, they're just reducing the number of alts people can use (unless you get creative and work around it, as it is completely possible). You think people are going to be like "Oh sh1t, they've reduced the number of alts i can have, well i may aswell stop botting now". NO, people are still going to use bots, and therefore the troops wont be "legitimate" nor will their "skill in building" be legitimate.
Honestly.

The game has simply got too large for itself it is operating beyond the original specifications it was built for and neither the developer nor the hardware can cope with it.
We have now all been shown what the owners of this game believe is the solution - stop people playing and maybe just for once we should listen to them. There are plenty of games out there willing to take your money so all is not lost and who knows you may even find a game that is more enjoyable, one that works, one you can log into when you want and a game which captures the original spirit and community which we had here 4.5 years ago.
Perhaps an all out Valentines Day massacre should be explored after all what have we to loose apart from troops which a lot have reported can no longer feed and are simply going to revolt/starve. Make this the bloodiest promotion ever and show Evony how this game ends - they have given you the opportunity, take it!
This February 14th, remove all friendlies from your alliances and introduce a fire at will policy server wide.
Last one out switch the light off please . . .
I get that there are too many accounts on the servers, and the servers can no longer support the loads, and I get that alt accounts often don't have a lot of coin spent on them, but the problem with this, like nearly every other attempt Evony has made before at controlling things is this:
Those with money to spend will purchase proxy servers, set up multiple computers, run virtual machines etc. etc., and continue running 100 alts at a time. Those without big money to spend will suffer with 3 accounts trying to fight against players with hundreds of alts.
Worse for Evony, every penny that is spent on hardware, and proxy services is money that will not be spent on in game items.
For existing servers, where everyone is running tons of alts, I really don't think it is appropriate to bring in changes like this.
For NEW servers, and possibly for server merges, I suggest first off, not basing your bans only on IP. It should be easy enough to see what accounts are simply moving food every couple of hours to another account, and that should be a pretty solid way to tell what accounts are simply feeders, regardless of their IP address. I say, on new servers, and server merges, first off, set a limit to how many alts (and this could just as easily be NONE) you will allow any player to have, then watch resource movement, and player to player attacks, and really deal with accounts that are nothing but an alt, right from day one.
My second suggestion, to really keep servers competitive, is to set a spending limit on each server. Perhaps one server has a $30/month limit, next has $60, then $90 etc. Give each player the opportunity to chose which level server they go into, but that is the limit for that server. If a player on the $30 server wants to spend $50 or $60 in one month, then their account moves to a $60 / month server. Players are always able to move up to a higher limit server, but NOT down. This keeps all players on a server full of other players who spend a similar amount of money, and should then keep accounts that are fairly similar together, which I think in the long run would keep all of the servers more competitive, and might keep your players more active and involved. I also think that there would be enticement for players to spend at, or close to the limit for their server, which in the long run should increase sales for Evony.
Agreed, but on another thread evony (Dawnseeker) already ruled out changing the game. The only thing they will be changing/adjusting is the IP limit system. Dawn believs that increasing food from npc's and adjusting the game to reflect how big players war accounts are now would just increase multi botting.
