if the ip restriction been removed , i would not be supprised as it was faulty, with out official word dont be supprised if it back just after new server opens
is there not some way there could be a way to try to offer botters a way to gain from deleting alts?
I am with Evony on this as I would refer to play by hand then this mutilation of the game. But Id ask Evony to consider a few things. Yes botters spend money and I feel anyone on ss78 that says they aren't botting is sitting in a empty 1 city account. but my point is we not only coin our mains but alts as well, income for Evony and useful to make the most of our alts. point is there are alts that have coin that Evony would remove from you. but why not offer people a way to merge accounts coins, heroes , item etc. and require the reset of an account to provide this service. I have a few alts I keep only because I want hero when I get medals or it still has nice goodies left I have paid for... maybe little give and take from both sides we could move forward to a better game with a positive for all
It sounds pretty easy to me, take established servers and separate the multi account holders from the single account players. So 12 people in one server and 2,304,844 in the other server! That way the 12 will stop whining. Evony needs to evolve, I think AgeII was started for people who didn't like losing cities so just give us a server with a high IP limit like 20 and then let us play the game. It is like a coffee shop not letting their customers by multiple coffees....."Hey if your friends want a coffee then they can come in and buy one, NO more carry out trays!! Imagine people walking out of here with 4 and 8 cups of coffee......We gotta stop this!
What would really make us happy?
1. "save hero" never lose Main hero on attacks.
This serves for two reasons. 1. bigger hits and kills for the attacker. Reducing of troops on whole server. 2. People will have to learn how to defend to keep alive. Kill the massive troops that needs all the alts to feed them.
Intel D has to much power. 500 balister can kill 153k mechs with layers .. wheres the thinking in that.
2. Remove Upkeep for troops. No need to farm to feed troops . But limit the amount of wood and iron and stone people can get in.
3. max amount of troops per account and or per city.
1 mill of each mech including t:,r:,b:,cp:
10 mill archers a:
50 mill scouts s:
1 mill of layers including cavs and phrats. p:,sw:,wo,:w:,cata:,c: ( Helpful information there for yaeb users (wink)
Re promote Evony Free forever Change this to Free forever but thos that have,,,, get more. Its a simple course of life if you can afford to spend you get more. Morons.
Limit the amount of actions a single account can do on a single account to 10. i have not found a single person that could send out 10 farming teams and or trades in a single second.
make a use of items we will never use like swapping them . evony was going to do this at some point 4.5 years ago.
Make use of all medals a point in having them .
When you attack someone and win you get 1/100 of there items if you win or if you lose they get 1/100th of your items
a table for each server for most hits and biggest kills
ie amount of troops killed by
most hits
Make a point to the game its rather become who has the biggest .. ( 8" if your asking ) (smiles)
i will add more but dava you know how to get me sir. talk soon
your most frustrated evony player thinking in turning to internet **** for my kicks
Debs
How many different posts are you going to paste that into Goldenhorse? Spam much?
spam spam spam ...... just helping them with the lag..... oh and 3 as they do not respond trying to get a answer back from evony or there goons
They do not seem to giving answers just pages and pages of HOW WRONG IT IS. CHEATERS.... THEY ARE MESSING IT UP FOR EVERYONE.....
They have messed up the game because of the lag ... people turned to the bott's because servers became unplayable because of the lag. And no the lag was not caused by the bott to start with fact.
i went days not being able to do anything logged in and thank god the bott option came along. used it did not get banned so it must of been ok..
Even dava is on record in saying the didnt do anything about the botts for 4 years and let it pass so it must of been ok . meetings must of been had at evony with the top bosses and they let it go.
Also you do have to give us legal notice of any changes to the game including connectivity changes and also if you plan to request information from our computers . In Europe we have laws to protect the pc user you have to request permission you can not just take
http://ico.org.uk/for_organisations/..._guide/cookies
this also covers getting any information about us , our connection, or applications..
i might do a request for information on ucool to see what information they are holding on or about peoples computers or connections and what they are doing with that information ...
The bots did cause the lag, end of. It's just that more people started botting because of it and made it even worse. Evony used to keep on top of it, then they decided it was better to let them bot because it brought in more money.
Making changes to the game would have prevented botting completely. As many people have stated, simply making it so people would never lose their top hero. It should be pretty easy to allow a member to mark their top hero, the hero they would want to protect in the case of a complete wipeout of their account. It's completely unfair to expect players to spend money on onwars and the like, and then for someone to come along and wipe them out in one night. You might as well quit the game.
Put a damn cap on troop creation per city (not including reinforcements) within reason so that it still allows for reasonably powerful accounts. Maybe it's an overall number of units or something. The designated war city could have a higher capacity for self reinforcements or something. You guys are the game designers, I am sure there are plenty of options under that idea.
When we went through our second server merge, we were one of the top alliances. None of our people botted. I was their vice host and I kept a strict lid on it. We threatened to boot botters because it was ruining the game experience. Then we were met with the reality that while there was less botting on our server, the merged in servers were botting like maniacs. We were defending 24/7. In the end, I gave in and said, okay, you can use bots, but only to farm. I still don't want to see people using them to play the game for them. That was the beginning... it was also the end for me. As someone who had got to where I was through strategy/diplomacy, I saw the game move more and more in a direction that I hated. It was fun chatting with other people like Rota about strategy, those are the people that Evony should have protected as they are the people who would have continued to give advice on improving things had you guys opened your ears to them. In the end, I started distancing myself from my alliance by being on less and less, not participating in wars etc... University took up my time, but I had also lost a taste for the game considering that many of the people who made it fun had quit. I holidayed my account for about a year after that before opting out.
Evony created a mess, they forced people to use bots by refusing to listen to the people who played it fairly. A game that does not require brains or skill is not fun anymore. Now I play an online version of RISK, the board game. I get my strategy fix without the need to be online for ridiculous amounts of time.
In the end, I was not addicted to the Evony game. I had made so many friends here and I enjoyed that aspect of it. This game was severely flawed and had it not been for the friendships, some of which I am still in contact with, I never would have stayed. Another girl from my server and I used to go in World Chat and raise some hell in the fun sense. Not smack talking, just playing battle of wits against some of the lads that thought they could outwit us. We'd always win! It provided entertainment for others and gave us all a laugh. We didn't take the game itself seriously as we were there to have fun. Being good with Evony strategy was just a plus for us since the game is intolerably boring without the social aspect.
Maybe it's time to listen to the people who play the game. Not necessarily the people who just want to continue botting as they are, but the people who are willing to discuss a middle ground. There are plenty of things that can be done to make this game enjoyable and eliminate the need to cheat, but most of the time, the voices of the reasonable were ignored.
I wasn't aware British laws applied to American companies.
I also wasn't aware that a Flash-based browser game could collect information about people's computers, outside of the browser and operating system being used and the IP. Oh. And you gave permission to them by simply playing the game and, by default, agreeing to the ToS.
