IP Bans - 3 accts max?

Hi. I haven't played for a couple of months as the lag mixed with some RL stuff I had going on made me decide to have a break.

I'm catching snippets of mentions of a new thing - which I'm taking to be a ban on IP addresses over 3 accounts - is that right? Or am I misunderstanding. I can't see a thread just about this alone - only picking up bits of convos. Also, is it just some servers or all? Am not very techy but am I right in assuming reducing the mass multiple alts would reduce lag? Or am I way off?

If this is the case, I may fall off the wagon and return on 54. Am getting the 'twitch' already!

your guess is as good as anyones, sometimes its there, sometimes not there. sometimes on some servers, sometimes on others. at one time dawn mentioned it was being taken off, but then some servers started saying they have it…

53 has it at the moment from what i have heard

^^ What shak said, NA50 has 3 accounts max and I also heard its been recently brought in on NA53.

I think Evony tried limiting it to 2 accounts per ip but within a day or two the botters had updated versions that somehow bypassed this limit. Now people like, ...... (name deleted to protect the guilty) brag about his alts and his 'unlimited' troop production in world chat with no worries of being punished.

Have enough people send in tickets with screen shots of him talking about multi-accounting from in game, in wc, then you will get a response. I have heard that if you send proof from in game with screenshots, then they will get what they deserve. Doesn't hurt to try.

I sent evony several pages of war reports over the course of several hours showing a guy bot spamming a city I sent troops to reinforce. He still plays all his accounts and still plays the same way. Maybe I should have made screen shots of all of the war reports. Once I can talk all my friends into quitting I am done with Evony. I have talked more than one out of coining, but they doggedly refuse to walk away from Evony just yet.

3IP ban doesn't mean what it looks like. You may think you can play only with 3 accounts ?

In reality it means that Evony's "edge server" is blocking anything more than 3 connections, and watching War Reports counts as one connection.

This means, you play game with 1 account and simultaneously watch 3 WRs, and you can't open 4th War report, nor login with another account at the same time.

The IP ban also means that if you try to play on more than one server at the same time, you get locked out. Try to visit? Bam the IP Ban kills you again. Want to send gifts to people? Sorry, IP BANNED. Flipping heck. Getting so that we can't play at all.

True, didn't even think about playing on multiple servers or doing visits.

Adding to that HNMs which aren't working (because freeder applications are down 90% of the time), game is useless.

Yeah its getting harder and harder to play mainly when people find ways to get around this ip ban and have a bunch of alternates on the same server and drafting thousands of troops and you get banned just for playing on a different server......
